Abstract:
Abstract:
A taped seal construction for a body part of a vehicle, with a seal with a main portion and a lip portion, the main portion being designed to extend on one side of the body part of the vehicle and the lip portion being designed to extend on another side of the body part of the vehicle thereby covering an edge of the body part, and a tape, the tape being attached to the main portion of the seal, wherein that the tape comprises a split liner.
Abstract:
A multi-member assembly including a first structural member (18), a second structural member (16) opposed from the first structural member, a crossover seal (28) positioned between the first and second structural members, wherein the crossover seal defines a bore (38), and an end cap (40) including a cap portion (44) and a plug portion (42) protruding from the cap portion, wherein the plug portion is at least partially received in the bore such that the cap portion bridges the first and second structural members.
Abstract:
Stackable lids for a container each include a top surface facing generally in a first direction and a bottom surface opposite the top surface and facing generally in a second direction. Pivotable wing portions extend from each side edge of the lid and each pivotable wing portion is joined to its respective side edge by a hinge. The wing portions are moveable between engaged and disengaged positions, and an inner surface of each wing includes a tab member configured for detent engagement with a rim of the container. The lid also includes corner portions extending between the side edges. Each corner portion includes a skirt portion extending generally in the second direction. Each corner portion also defines a recessed shoulder configured to receive the skirt portion of another when the lids are stacked.

Abstract:
Abstract:
An elongate elastomeric sealing strip (10) comprising an essentially planar base section (20), the cross-section width of which has a first and a second edge (30,40), and a longitudinally extending sealing member (50), the cross-section of which is essentially planar or curved towards said base section (20), which sealing member is integrally associated with and forms an acute angle with said base section, said angle having its vertex (60) proximate to said first edge (30), where said base section (20) and said sealing member (50) are bridged by, and integrally associated with, a longitudinally extending crossbar member (70), the cross-section of which is curved with at least one extreme point located between said base section and said sealing member, which extreme point faces onto said angle vertex (60).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid barrier assembly (1) for the prevention of flow of liquid from one area to an adjacent area. The assembly (1) comprises at least two barriers (2,3) each comprising a substantially rigid container and a front wall (5) against which, in use, liquid is intended to be incident. Adjacent barriers (2,3) are linked by a connector (12) which comprises a first relatively rigid portion (13) and a second relatively deformable portion (15). The portions (13, 15) are received in respective recesses defined in neighbouring side walls of adjacent barriers (2,3). The second portion (15) is deformed upon juxtaposition of adjacent barriers (2,3) in a predetermined manner so as to form an effective water-tight seal between the barriers (2,3). The arrangement is particularly suitable for flood defence barriers.
Abstract:
A compressible at least substantially O-shaped ring (10) having a curled annular wall (24) with inner and outer free ends (20-22), methods of forming the same and articles of manufacture incorporating such rings.
Abstract:
A device for sealing an aperture defined between a first object and second object is provided. The device comprises a first sealing member and a second sealing member. The first sealing member comprising a base member and first, second and third sealing portions. The base member has first and second sides and a surface extending therebetween. The first sealing portion extends from the first side of the base member. A first attachment portion extends along at least a portion of the surface of the base member. The second sealing portion extends from the second side of the base member and is configured to conform to and seal the gap. The third sealing portion extends from the second sealing portion and is structured to conform to and form a seal the exterior surface of the second object. The second sealing member comprising a backing member and second attachment portion.
