Abstract:
The invention is directed to a tap assembly for a gas cylinder, comprising: a body with a gas inlet, a gas outlet and a gas passage connecting the outlet with the inlet; and an electronic module of the status of the tap and/or cylinder, said module being mounted on or in the body; wherein the electronic module is fed with electric energy by a rechargeable battery (40), and in that the tap assembly is provided with a connector (100) which makes possible the charging of the battery (40) in situ. The invention further relates to a kit with such a tap assembly and a charging adapter to feed electrical current to the tap assembly from a standard power socket. The invention further relates to a charging method for a tap assembly.
Abstract:
A method of distributing liquefied petroleum gas is described. The method comprises receiving payment for a predetermined amount of liquefied petroleum gas, transmitting an instruction to a valve to distribute liquefied petroleum gas monitoring, by a metering device, an amount of liquefied petroleum gas distributed determining, by the metering device, that the amount of distributed liquefied petroleum gas has reached a threshold amount, wherein the threshold amount is based, at least in part, on the predetermined amount, and responsive to determining that the amount of distributed liquefied petroleum gas has reached the threshold amount, transmitting an instruction to the valve to cease distribution of the liquefied petroleum gas.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a cover (2) for a tap of a gas cylinder, said cover (2) comprising a shell (4) for housing the tap, said shell comprising a front area for an indicator, a wheel (14) for adjusting the outlet pressure and/or flow rate, and/or at least one outlet connector (12) of the tap. The front area of the shell is a part (4 3 ) that is distinct from, and configured to be attached to, the rest (4 1 ) of the shell (4).
Abstract:
With the present invention, there is provided a cylinder (T) wherein fuels in the form of fluid are stored. Said cylinder (T) comprises at least one body (1) wherein a fuel in the form of fluid is stored; at least one valve (2) that is positioned on the body (1) and supplies the fuel in the form of fluid from or into the body (1); at least one handle (3) positioned on the body (1); at least one collar (4) connecting the said handle (3) to the body (1); at least one identifier (5) preferably provided inside the said collar (4) and having thereon at least one visual code (6) specific to the cylinder to which it is connected.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for a safety interlock for a gas cylinder. The interlock device of the present invention can prevent a gas cylinder from being removed from a gas administration device as long as gas remains in the gas cylinder.
Abstract:
measurement device for monitoring the level of liquefied gas in a canister is described. The device comprises an array of at least three temperature sensors, configured to be mounted externally of the canister to extend from a first position on the canister to a second position on the canister. The device also comprises detection circuitry for detecting, when gas is released from the canister causing a temperature drop at the liquid-gas interface within the canister, a subset of the temperature sensors measuring a lower temperature than the remainder of the temperature sensors, and for identifying a current level of the liquefied gas in the canister based on the position within the array of the subset of the temperature sensors detected as measuring a lower temperature. This arrangement can be retrofitted to any canister, without the need to modify the canister or change the valve arrangement.
Abstract:
There is provided a guard structure for a gas cylinder assembly, the gas cylinder assembly comprising a gas cylinder body and a valve, the gas cylinder body including a base and a neck to which a proximal end of the valve is connected in use, the guard structure being securable to the gas cylinder assembly and comprising a guard body arranged, in use, to surround the valve, wherein the guard body further comprises a dependent lip extending around substantially the entire perimeter of the guard body, the dependent lip being located and arranged to be graspable by at least one user to enable the gas cylinder assembly to be lifted and/or manoeuvred.
Abstract:
A lockable valve assembly comprising a valve body and a lever for opening the valve, The valve body having a first fastening point comprising a first opening and the lever comprising a second fastening point having a second opening. The openings are arranged so that when the valve is closed the second fastening point may be locked to the first fastening point by means of a locking member. A tamper evidence device for use with the valve assembly is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A valve assembly comprising a valve body and a lever for actuating the valve, the valve body comprising at least one device having a visual display, wherein the at least one device is located such that, when the lever is in a closed position, at least a portion of the visual display is located behind the lever. The lever may include an opening or window for viewing the visual display when the lever is in the closed position, or the lever may be transparent.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a sub-frame (10) for a valve body (12) having two or more location surfaces (14, 16), said sub-frame (10) comprising a first and a second portion (10a, 10b) having mutually confronting contact surfaces (18a, 18b), sides (20a, 20b) and front and back surfaces (22a, 22b) and mutually confronting engagement surfaces(24a, 24b and 26a, 26b) wherein said mutually confronting contact surfaces (18a, 18b) are shaped to engage with each other upon placement together of the two portions (10a, 10b) and said mutually confronting engagement surfaces (24a, 24b and 26a, 26b) are shaped to engage with one or other of said one or more location surfaces (14, 16) on the valve body (12).
