A method for the liquefaction of an industrial gas by integration of a methanol plant and an air separation unit (ASU) is provided. The method can include the steps of: (a) providing a pressurized natural gas stream (24, 27), a pressurized purge gas stream (48) originating from a methanol plant, and a pressurized air gas stream (132) comprising an air gas originating from the ASU; (b) expanding three different pressurized gases to produce three cooled streams (32, 62, 142), wherein the three different pressurized gases are the pressurized natural gas stream, the pressurized purge gas stream, and the pressurized air gas stream; and (c) liquefying the industrial gas (44) in a liquefaction unit against the three cooled streams to produce a liquefied industrial gas stream (46). The industrial gas to be liquefied is selected from the group consisting of a first portion of the pressurized natural gas stream, a nitrogen gas stream, hydrogen and combinations thereof.

The invention relates to a method for treating a gas stream comprising combustion fumes containing CO2 in an initial proportion, water vapor, one or more volatile acid compounds, and one or more additional impurities selected from among oxygen, nitrogen and argon, comprising the steps of: i) compressing the gas stream to a final pressure of 1 bar to 74 bar absolute; ii) cooling the gas stream to a temperature of around -10°C to around -130°C and eliminating at least one additional impurity; and iii) recovering a CO2-enriched gas stream containing a final proportion of CO2 greater than the initial proportion of CO2 in the stream to be treated. In addition, the method comprises, prior to step i), a step of predrying the stream for removing therefrom at least a portion of the water vapor which it contains. The invention further relates to equipment for implementing the method. The invention can be used for treating oxycombustion fumes.

A process (10) for producing hydrocarbons from natural gas includes, in a cryogenic separation stage (16), cryogenically separating the natural gas to produce at least a methane stream and natural gas liquids, in a reforming stage (20), reforming the methane stream to produce a synthesis gas which includes at least CO and H2, and in a Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis stage (22), converting at least some of the CO and H2 into a Fischer-Tropsch product which includes hydrocarbons. A Fischer- Tropsch tail gas which includes at least CO and H2, methane and heavier than methane hydrocarbons, is separated from the Fischer-Tropsch product in a Fischer-Tropsch product separation stage (24). At least a portion of the Fischer-Tropsch tail gas is recycled to the cryogenic separation stage (16), where the Fischer-Tropsch tail gas is cryogenically separated into two or more streams.
