Systems and methods to authenticate and verify user access replace the digits of a personal identification number (PIN) of a particular user with prompted randomized words that are to be uttered by an unidentified user. By virtue of this replacement, the PIN remains secret. A known speaker provides voice samples to the system in advance. The words uttered by the unidentified user (in response to the prompted words being displayed) correspond to digits. The uttered words are checked against the PIN, and are used to verify if the unidentified user's voice matches the voice of the known speaker.

A method for secure passcode entry is disclosed. The method, in one embodiment, includes: receiving a request for authenticating a user; in response to the request, generating a passcode entry interface including buttons corresponding to character options for composing a passcode entry, wherein the passcode entry interface is used to receive the passcode entry to authenticate a user of the payment card; identifying, on a touchscreen of the electronic device, a traffic region that experienced touch events prior to receiving the request; and displaying the passcode entry interface on the touchscreen such that at least a portion of the passcode entry interface is positioned in the traffic region.

The invention relates to a device (CD) comprising a capacitive keyboard (KB) constituted of a plurality of keys (KY), each key comprising an active electrode (AEL) and an active ground plane (AGP), a microcontroller (MC) connected to said keyboard (KB) through active electrode (AEL) and active ground plane (AGP). Said microcontroller (MC) is adapted for managing said keyboard (KB) in a reverse manner for emulating a sequence of tactile contacts on a capacitive screen.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Eingabe einer PIN an einer Vorrichtung, die eine durch PIN-Eingabe gesicherte Funktionalität aufweist, insbesondere an einer Vorrichtung für den elektronischen Zahlungsverkehr, und ein entsprechendes technisches Hilfsmittel, wobei das Verfahren die Schritte aufweist: a) Vorhalten mindestens einer PIN in einem mobilen technischen Hilfsmittel, wobei das mobile technische Hilfsmittel einen Speicher zum Abspeichern der mindestens einen PIN und Mittel für die Übertragung der mindestens einen PIN auf ein Eingabefeld der Vorrichtung mit der durch PIN-Eingabe gesicherten Funktionalität aufweist, b) Koppeln des mobilen technischen Hilfsmittels mit dem Eingabefeld und Übertragen der vorgehaltenen PIN von dem technischen Hilfsmittel über das Mittel für die Übertragung der mindestens einen PIN auf das Eingabefeld.

본 발명은 EPP 일체형 터치스크린 및 이를 이용한 금융자동화기기의 입력정보처리방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 금융자동화기기에 사용자 인터페이스로서 구비되는 터치스크린을 구성함에 있어서, 터치스크린과 EPP모듈을 일체로 구성하여, 금융자동화기기를 사용하는 고객이 금융거래 중 금융거래에 필요한 비밀번호와 같은 암호화가 요구되는 정보를 금융자동화기기의 터치스크린을 통해 입력하는 경우, 터치스크린에 일체로 구비된 EPP모듈의 보안 CPU를 통해 터치스크린에 디스플레이되는 화면을 제어하도록 구성함으로써, 금융자동화기기의 CPU 불법해킹 등을 통한 주요 금융정보의 유출을 원천적으로 차단할 수 있는 EPP 일체형 터치스크린 및 이를 이용한 금융자동화기기의 입력정보처리방법에 관한 것이다.

본 발명은 불법 탈착 자기감지가 가능한 핀패드 및 이를 이용한 핀패드 보안 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 금융자동화기기에 설치되는 핀패드의 내부에 소정의 랜덤키가 저장되는 별도의 랜덤키 저장용 메모리(SRAM)를 구비하고, 핀패드가 금융자동화기기에서 분리되면 랜덤키 저장용 메모리에 전원을 공급하는 배터리의 스위치가 자동으로 오픈되도록 구성하여, 키패드 분리시 랜덤키 저장용 메모리에 저장된 랜덤키 값이 자동으로 삭제되도록 구성함으로써, 랜덤키 값의 비교를 통해 키패드의 탈착상태를 실시간으로 감지할 수 있도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 불법 탈착 자기감지가 가능한 핀패드 및 이를 이용한 핀패드 보안 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은, 랜덤키가 별도로 저장되는 랜덤키 저장용 메모리, 랜덤키 및 금융처리정보 데이터가 저장되는 메인메모리, 상기 랜덤키 저장용 메모리에 연결되어 전원을 공급하는 배터리, 랜덤키를 생성하여 상기 랜덤키 저장용 메모리와 메인메모리에 각각 저장하는 CPU를 포함하여 구성되되, 상기 배터리는 핀패드의 탈착에 따라 상기 랜덤키 저장용 메모리에로의 연결이 자동으로 단속되는 형태로 구성되고, 상기 CPU는 상기 랜덤키 저장용 메모리와 상기 메인메모리의 랜덤키를 실시간으로 비교함으로써 핀패드의 탈착여부를 감지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 불법 탈착 자기감지가 가능한 핀패드를 제공한다.

A device for entering information securely in a customer transaction is described. The device may include a keypad (200) comprising a set of full travel keys for transmitting a first set of data and a set of minimal travel keys for transmitting a second set of data. A subset of the full travel keys may be operable to receive numerical entries, and a subset of the minimal travel keys may be customized to perform one or more nonnumeric functions. A controller (26) is connected to and receives data from one or more components of the keypad (200). The device may be used in a fuel dispenser system (10) or another environment where a customer transaction occurs.

L'invention a pour objet un terminal comportant au moins un écran, un processeur, un système d'exploitation. Le terminal comporte deux modes de fonctionnement, un premier mode de fonctionnement dans lequel des fonctions de transaction électronique du terminal sont inhibées, et un second mode de fonctionnement dans lequel les fonctions de transaction électronique sont activées. A PIN based Internet debit system and method is provided. The system and method allow for the transmission of an eCommerce Internet transaction with a debit card or ATM card and the cardholders existing PIN. In addition, the system and method allow for secure and encrypted transmission of such PIN and transaction data via the Internet ot the payment network and the issuing financial institution. In one embodiment of the invention, a pop-up is used to get control of a user’s browser to present a PIN pad such that the user may enter PIN information associated with the user’s debit/ATM cards. In this way, the invention provides debit card or ATM type functionality to web pages.
