Abstract:
A system that delivers power between a common power source having a total deliverable system power and device loads. The system includes a power share interface that sums power consumed or requested by loads and determines availability of additional power. The system includes at least one peer power share interface with each peer interface associated with a port controller and communicable coupled to the power share interface over the system bus. The peer power share interface determines status of total power consumed or requested relative to total deliverable system power. The power share interface can in response to receiving the power level request cause the system to change power allocations to satisfy the power level requests.
Abstract:
An electrical energy storage system that can store both grid-based electrical power when electricity prices are low or renewable power generated on-site. It can release the stored electricity for consumer applications when necessary based on a software program and configuration. The system may be networked. The system comprises a port for receiving a central processing unit (CPU), and facilitates the use of different CPU products for different users and uses.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for controlling an energy storage system (100), the energy storage system (100) comprises at least two battery modules (104, 106) electrically coupled in parallel to each other, wherein the method comprising the steps of receiving (S1) a signal indicative of a maximum power capability of each of the respective battery modules; assigning (S2) a power threshold limit for the at least two battery modules of the energy storage system corresponding to the lowest maximum power capability received from the battery modules; and providing (S3) a charge current to the at least two battery modules, the charge current having a current level being proportional to the power threshold limit.
Abstract:
Degradation of a secondary battery or the like is prevented. A reduction in the capacity of a secondary battery or the like due to charging or discharging is prevented. A secondary battery module in which a secondary battery can be charged in a charging period into which short discharging periods are inserted is provided. A secondary battery module in which a plurality of secondary batteries are connected in parallel, and in a charging period of the secondary batteries, current due to short-time discharging of one secondary battery can be used for charging another secondary battery is provided. To carry out such operation, a secondary battery module includes a plurality of secondary batteries, a DC/DC converter, a switch, and a control circuit.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for controlling the supply of electric power to an electric mining unit intended for the processing of rock material, in which method, by means of a three-phase electric power network (2) provided in the mining unit and a mains switch (2') for connecting the mining unit to or for disconnecting it from an external electric power network (2"), and a power source (7), as well as at least one inverter (8, 8') and at least one transformer (14) and switches (3, 4, 5, 16, 17), the supply of electric power to the mining unit is controlled in such a way that when the electric power network (2) of the mining unit is connected to the external electric power network (2"), the first electric motor (9) and the second electric motor (13) are supplied from the external electric power network (2") or from the power source, and the power source (7) is simultaneously charged for at least part of the time from the external electric power network (2") by means of the inverter and the transformer or a charging system (15), and that when the second electric motor (13) is supplied from the external electric power network (2"), the first electric motor (9) is simultaneously supplied, if necessary, solely from the power source (7) provided in the mining unit, by means of the inverter (8). The invention also relates to an arrangement and a mining unit.
