Abstract:
A method, system, and computer readable medium for sending notification messages to a notification device and associating a fee for sending the notification message. The notification message is associated with a portable consumer device issued by an issuer and associated with an account of a consumer operated by the issuer. The fee is obtained by the issuer or a payment brand organization associated with the portable consumer device.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a method of communication for use in a credit control application, a respective communication system and computer program product, wherein a credit-control server (1) determines, whether a final credit unit has been used for a requested service and if so, sending a Final-Unit-Indication (S40, S50) to a gateway node (3) including a specific code value. A WAP Push message (S55) which explicitly corresponds to the code value is sent to a requester (4) of the service with an indication that a final unit has been used.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method in a telecommunication system to indicate tariff related information to an end user (MS; MSA; MSB) with ability to access network areas with different charging tariffs. The system comprises a Core Network (CN) associated with an Access Network (RAN; GAN; AN) handling different cell areas (MACRO-C, FEMTO-Cl; MCELL, FCELL-A). The method comprises the following steps: Accessing the Access Network (RAN; GAN; AN) by the end user (MS; MSA; MSB) via a radio base station handling a cell area (FEMTO-Cl; FCELL-A) in which the end user is located. Selecting a charging indication (SAI, CGI, CNII) in dependence of access information identified during the access. Selecting in the Core Network, in dependence of the selected charging indication (SAI, CGI, CNII), tariff related information to be sent to the end user.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting prepaid charging/credit information to a mobile station (MS). The available credit information can be sent to the mobile station by detecting a termination (2-10) of a call chargeable to the subscriber of the mobile station (MS); and in response to the detecting, sending the credit information to the mobile station (MS) as a connectionless message (2-26), preferably as a short message or a USSD message. Optionally, resources allocated to the call are released (2-18) with sufficient delay for sending the connectionless message without paging the mobile station (MS) separately.
Abstract:
A calling method for video telephone is provided, wherein, a first loader of video telephone is established between a multimedia ring back tone server and a calling terminal, a multimedia ring back tone is played to the calling terminal. When a called terminal is detected to receive the call, a second loader of video telephone is established between the called terminal and the multimedia ring back tone server. The video telephone communication can be performed between the calling terminal and the called terminal by the first loader and the second loader. Another calling method is provided, wherein, a third loader is established between the multimedia ring back tone server and the calling terminal, the multimedia ring back tone is played to the calling terminal. A fourth loader of video telephone is established between the calling terminal and the called terminal, video telephone communication can be performed between the calling terminal and the called terminal. The corresponding system is also provided, so a service of multimedia coloring ring for video telephone can be easily realized.
Abstract:
A method of providing a service in a communications network comprising transmitting a session control message from a user to a charging entity in the network identifying a service provision threshold determined by the user for a session of the service requested by the user; and monitoring provision of the session and, if it exceeds the service provision threshold, notifying a service provision node in the network which performs a predetermined action on receipt of the notification.
Abstract:
Billing a customer through an intermediary billing system for a transaction by receiving, at the intermediary billing system, a transaction request associated with a transaction amount and a customer identification code, validating, in the intermediary billing system, the transaction request by determining whether the customer identification code corresponds to a customer that is registered with the intermediary billing system, and sending, in the case that the transaction request is valid, a billing event trigger associated with the customer identification code to an external billing mechanism, the billing event trigger representing the transaction amount.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing prepaid wireless services. One embodiment includes a mobile unit configured to maintain an amount of time units for which the mobile unit is authorized to utilize wireless services. The amount of time units is preferably prepaid for by the customer. The mobile unit prevents utilization of wireless services upon the expiration of the amount of prepaid time units. Furthermore, it is preferred that a prepaid application server receive notification from the wireless service provider of the use of time units by the mobile unit. In this manner, the prepaid application server may monitor the availability of time units and prevent fraudulent use when the amount of prepaid time units expire.
Abstract:
A telecommunications switch serving a roaming mobile station transports the resulting billing records by setting up a communication link with an administrative billing center connected to a Signaling System No. 7 (SS7) telecommunications network by utilizing Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) signals. Once the connection is established between the telecommunication switch and the administrative billing center, Data Message Handler (DMH) formatted data are stored into the SS7 TCAP Invoke signal by the telecommunication switch and transported to the administrative billing center via the SS7 telecommunications network.
Abstract:
A method for real-time monitoring of usage of packet-based telecom services comprises: - communicating from a first server to a client (121, 122, 123) rate information; - local metering of usage of the packet-based telecom services in the client (121, 122, 123); - estimating in the client (121, 122, 123) usage costs based on the local metering and the rate information; and - displaying the usage costs (124, 125, 126) in the client (121, 122, 123); - sending from a second server (116) to the client (121, 122, 123) asynchronous usage notifications (151) indicative for network-metered usage of the packet-based telecom services; and - adapting in the client (121, 122, 123) the usage costs (124, 125, 126) based on the asynchronous usage notifications (151).
