The amount spent may be compared to a benchmark, such as a national average, a city average, a state average, similar people as defined by either a similar spend pattern or similar demographics, and a private group.

摘要： In a network subscriber system, a method of determining how to monitor whether a subscriber's network usage exceeds a quota for the current billing period. The frequency at which the subscriber's usage data is collected and analyzed during the billing period is based upon the probability the subscriber's network usage exceeds the quota at a given point in time during the billing cycle. Usage data is collected more frequently as the probability increases. Usage analysis is performed if the probability exceeds a threshold.

摘要： Embodiments are directed to managing a prepaid server-arbitrated group communication session within a wireless communications system. A server receives, from a session originator, a request to setup a prepaid group communication session with at least one session target, the prepaid group communication session requiring each session participant to have an available prepaid account balance above a threshold level. The server sends a query to an online charging system to determine whether at least the session originator has a prepaid account with an available balance at least equal to the threshold level. The server initiates setup of the requested prepaid group communication session without waiting to receive a response to the query, thereby reducing latency associated with set-up of the prepaid group communication session.

Such interoperability enables updated policy rules to be fully communicated in on-line charging situations where quota expirations occur. The method includes: the cluster prepaid subscriber originates a call and the PDS initiates a call authentication request to the PHR after receiving the call; after the authentication is passed, the PHR returns an authorization information to the PDS; the PDS determines whether to initiate the call to the prepaid subscriber and send the prepaid request to the PHR or merely send the prepaid request to the PHR according to whether the account of the prepaid subscriber has a balance; the PHR initiates a quota application request for the prepaid subscriber to the SCP after receiving the prepaid request from the PDS; the SCP returns the result to the PHR after carrying out the corresponding business; the PHR determines whether to continue the call for the prepaid subscriber or terminate the call according to the information received.
