Abstract:
A surface covering layout system includes a processing circuit configured to receive image data regarding one or more images associated with a surface to be covered with a surface covering, and generate a surface covering layout based on the image data, the surface covering layout providing an indication of a pattern of a plurality of covering members included in the surface covering.
Abstract:
The present invention is in the field of imaging. The present invention relates more particularly to an automatic layout process, on at least one page (37), for a composite multimedia message, intended to be displayed on a terminal screen, and intended to be printed using a printer communicating with the terminal. The displayed composite multimedia message can comprise entities of image, text and sound (audio). These entities are usually formed from the contents of several initial multimedia messages. These initial multimedia messages are transformed respectively into messages (38), (39), (40), (41), (42), (43) in the composite multimedia message (37). The automatic layout is performed from an analysis of the various initial multimedia messages; an analysis that integrates especially characteristics of time, contents, or even context of the images and texts forming the initial messages. The process of the present invention is used in applications on terminals fitted with a display screen, said terminals being able to communicate with printers.
Abstract:
An image outputting device capable of printing or displaying/outputting an image and text data automatically and efficiently off-line to a digital copying machine, a printer, a facsimile or a liquid crystal projector. Image discriminating means discriminates whether the data to be printed in a data file, as read out of a memory card by a memory card controller (88), is color or black-and-white image data. If the result of discrimination indicates color image data, print confirming means is provided for the user to confirm whether or not black-and-white data converted from the color image data by color/black-and-white conversion means (90) is to be printed/outputted by black-and-white image forming means.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for altering the operation of printers and scanners to reduce vibration and/or acoustics. The technology involves altering the mode of operation of the printer or scanner to be in either "quick", "quiet" or an intermediate mode. Additionally, means for achieving the different modes of operation are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus displays, in a display unit including a touch panel, image data for one page including a plurality of document images which are arranged. When a user performs a flicking operation on the touch panel, the image processing apparatus shifts a display region displayed in the display unit from a first region to a second region of the image data in accordance with a direction of the flicking operation. When one of the arranged document images corresponding to the image data is included in the second region, the image processing apparatus performs shift after changing a shift destination so that the document image is displayed in a predetermined position of the display region.
Abstract:
The attributes of the front and back surfaces of a sheet stored in each of sheet storing units which store sheets used in printing are set. Printing is done by selecting a sheet storing unit used in a print job from the sheet storing units in accordance with the attributes of the front and back surfaces of a sheet that are set by a print job from an information processing terminal and the attributes of the front and back surfaces of a sheet set in each sheet storing unit.
Abstract:
To further improve an operability in a print instruction from an information processing apparatus provided with a touch panel to a print apparatus. In an information processing apparatus provided with a touch panel, in response to a situation in which document data displayed on a display unit is touched and flicked in a particular direction, a print apparatus is instructed to perform a print processing of the document data.
Abstract:
An evaluation apparatus includes an image reproduction section, which obtains a reproduction image by reproducing an original image with a plurality of color elements visually mixed for defining colors, and which obtains a plurality of reproduction images respectively corresponding to twelve types of color element groups having different types of color elements and/or different numbers of color elements from one another. The apparatus also includes a calculation section which calculates a level of a difference between colors of each of the plurality of reproduction images and colors of the original image; and a display section which displays the level of the difference calculated by the difference calculation section.
