Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to chemical sensing elements including a rolled multilayer structure. In a first aspect, a method of making a chemical sensor element is included, the method including depositing a polymer layer onto a deposition substrate, infusing a chemical sensor composition into the polymer layer, applying a hydrogel layer over the polymer layer to form a multilayer film, rolling the multilayer film down the deposition substrate, and slicing the multilayer film to form the chemical sensor element. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided an electrode arrangement. The electrode arrangement comprises an elastic element for contacting skin. The elastic element comprises a top section having top and bottom surfaces, a protrusion extending substantially centrally and orthogonally from the bottom surface along a central axis of the elastic element and two or more legs extending from the bottom surface and away from the protrusion at a first angle to the central axis and arranged to surround the protrusion symmetrically. A length of the protrusion along the central axis is shorter than a length of each leg along the central axis. The electrode arrangement further comprises a conductive connector element operatively connected to the top surface of the top section for relaying signals between the elastic element and a measurement device or a transmitter.

Abstract: In an example, a monopolar electrosurgical electrode includes an electrosurgical substrate including an electrically conductive material extending in an axial direction from a proximal end to a distal end. The electrosurgical substrate includes an electrosurgical blade. The electrosurgical blade includes (i) a first lateral surface, (ii) a second lateral surface opposite the first lateral surface, (iii) a first major surface extending between the first lateral surface and the second lateral surface on a first side of the electrosurgical blade, and (iv) a second major surface extending between the first lateral surface and the second lateral surface on a second side of the electrosurgical blade that is opposite the first side. The monopolar electrosurgical electrode also includes a first electrode sensor embedded between a plurality of electrical insulation layers on the first major surface of the electrosurgical blade.

Abstract: Fault detection and diagnostics for a microneedle array based continuous analyte monitoring device are provided. The electrochemical sensors, including the electrodes of the analyte monitoring device configured for measuring one or more target analytes, may experience various faults during use of the analyte monitoring device. By modeling the sensors as an electrical network, measurements of the electrical network may be correlated with operational parameters of the sensor. The voltage at the counter electrode provides an indication of the resistance or impedance between the working electrode and the counter electrode and is used to identify the occurrence of faults occurring at the continuous analyte monitoring device.

Abstract: Transfer tape articles are suitable for preparing dry electrodes. The transfer tape articles include a release liner and a conductive transfer tape layer adjacent to the release liner. The conductive transfer tape layer includes a layer of adhesive and a discontinuous layer of electrically conductive shaped particles, where the shaped particles have at least one point. The adhesive envelopes the conductive particles, and at least one point of the electrically conductive particles protrudes from the conductive transfer tape layer. The conductive transfer tape layer can be a single layer of adhesive or a multi-layer construction including a first adhesive layer, a support layer, and a second adhesive layer.
