Herein is described a stent platform capable of intravascular local delivery of therapeutics through multipoint injection of drug agents into the vascular walls and endocardial surfaces. More specifically, an endovascular injectable stent made of kirigami skin is wrapped around a soft linear actuator and used for intravascular local drug delivery of therapeutics. This platform addresses an unmet need of treating aortic stenosis and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Devices and methods are described that can be used to treat various maladies, such as pulmonary vein stenosis hypertension and/or atrial fibrillation. The device may be an implant device having at least one ring and a stabilizer element. In some embodiments, the device can include two or more rings separated by one or more stabilizer element. The ring(s) and at least one stabilizer element provide mechanical pressure against adjacent tissue, e.g., the tissue of a vessel, and the pressure works to inhibit the propagation of the ring to lose position against the wall of said vessel. Methods of implanting the device and methods of treating patients therewith are also provided. Additionally, a delivery apparatus and method may also be provided to deliver such an implant device to a target location within a body, e.g., a vein are artery of a human body.

A stent assembly includes support rings each having interconnected circumferentially alternating inner prongs and outer prongs. The inner prongs define an inner diameter around a longitudinal axis. The outer prongs define an outer diameter greater than the inner diameter. A graft engages the support rings and follows a waving peripheral path. The graft may be a billowing graft. A second graft may surround the first graft such that tunnels are defined between the first graft and second graft. A method of making a stent assembly includes diametrically expanding the support rings onto a mandrel, engaging a graft with the support rings, and removing the support rings and graft from the mandrel permitting the stent assembly to contract to a neutral state.

A prosthesis is provided for treating aneurysms, occlusive disease of vessels and body organs, and arterio-venous fistulas, occurring in single and bifurcated lumens. The prosthesis comprises an expandable coiled sheet portion having a biocompatible graft, either a sheet or tube, affixed thereto along part or all of the circumference of the coiled sheet portion. The prosthesis has a small delivery profile, making it suitable for use in a variety of body vessels. Methods of making and deploying the prosthesis in single and bifurcated lumens are also provided.

The present invention provides a lumen support stent (20) for use in an artery or any body lumen. The stent is formed from a plurality of ladder elements (32) having elongated ribs (28) bowed to define a circumferential arc of the tubular member and end rungs (30) affixed to the elongated ribs. The elongated ribs of adjacent ladder elements are substantially parallel to one another and slidably engaged by the end rungs of adjacent ladder elements. Sliding of the end rungs along the circumferential arc defined by the engaged ribs creates a variable circumferential distance between the end rungs of adjacent ladder elements. Consequently, the stent has a first diameter in which the circumferential distance between end rungs of adjacent ladder elements is collapsed, and a variable second diameter in which the circumferential distance between end rungs of adjacent ladder elements is expanded.

The ratchet finger is also configured to engage the first longitudinal edge and inhibit relative motion between the ratchet finger and the first longitudinal edge in a second direction opposite the first direction, and the ratchet finger thereby inhibits radial contraction of the expandable stent.
