본 발명은 2개의 사출물을 서로 접합하여 내부가 빈 형태의 중공 사출물 완제품을 제조하는 데에 있어서, 종래의 융착에 의한 접합방법이나 블로우 성형에 의한 제조방법에 비하여 저렴한 비용을 들여 간단하게 접합시킬 수 있도록 한 중공사출물, 그 중공사출물을 접합하기 위한 접합방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위한 본 발명에 따른 중공사출물 접합방법은, 사출 성형된 2개의 제1,2사출물을 서로 접합하여 내부가 빈 형태의 중공 사출물 완제품을 제조하는 중공사출물 접합방법에 있어서, 상기 제1,2사출물의 각 접합면에 소정 깊이로 오목하게 파인 홈부가 형성될 수 있도록 제1,2사출물을 사출 성형하는 단계와; 상기 사출 성형된 제1,2사출물을 접합금형 내에 투입한 다음 상기 제1,2사출물의 각 접합면을 서로 맞댄 상태에서 용융상태의 접합물을 상기 접합면에 형성된 홈부 내부에 주입한 후 냉각시키는 과정을 통해 제1,2사출물을 서로 접합시키는 단계와; 상기 접합금형에 의한 사출 후 상기 제1,2사출물의 접합부위 외곽에 부분적으로 형성된 버어(burr)를 컷팅 제거함으로써 최종적인 사출물 완제품을 생성하는 단계를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.

A hollow article, and a method for producing the same, comprising at least one elongated portion extending substantially longitudinally and comprising at least two injection-molded polymer members. Each of the members is formed as a trough-like shell having two rims defining a hollow and an opening therebetween, each of the rims mating with a corresponding rim of another one of the members along longitudinally extending seams. The members are secured together by a secondary injecting molding of a connection material along the seams.

Apparatus and methods for forming thermoplastic clamshell components are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes providing first and second spaced-apart mold members (102,104). Next, first and second half-body portions (118) are formed by a process including forming at least one sheet (106) of formable material between the first and second mold members. The first and second half-body portions are then coupled to form the clamshell component. In alternate embodiments, the coupling of the first and second half-body portions may include forming the flange portions between a pair of heated members, or crimping or welding the flange portions.

A method and apparatus for Z-direction reinforcement of composite laminates is disclosed. Discrete fibers (25) are pulled through a fiber composite preform (11) in the Z-direction by needles (27) having bars (29) thereon to insert the Z-direction reinforcement (31) into the composite preform (11) from a discrete fiber mat (23) having discrete fibers (25) therein.

A method for making a shaped object is disclosed. A mould (14) is disposed between two layers of fabric (10a, 10b), with joining layer (12) layer therebetween. The upper fabric layer (10b) has a greater surface are a than the lower layer (10a), so that the final garment has a natural curvature. Further embodiments respectively describe how garment inserts may be joined by a vacuum draw-down process (figure 10) and by the use of adhesive cups (figure 12).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kunststoffschweisseinrichtung zum flächigen Verbinden eines ersten, dünnwandigen Kunststoffteils (6) mit einem zweiten Kunststoffteil, umfassend eine handgehaltene Montagehilfe (1) und einen in einer Halterung eines Handlötkolbens aufnehmbaren Schweisskopf (2); wobei der Schweisskopf (2) einen Grundkörper (3) und mindestens eine am Grundkörper (3) angeordnete Schweissspitze (4) aufweist; wobei die Montagehilfe (1) mindestens einen Distanzhalter (5) aufweist, der mit seiner Unterseite auf das dünnwandige Kunststoffteil (6) auflegbar ist und auf dessen Oberseite der Grundkörper (3) des Schweisskopf (2) abstützbar ist; und wobei der mindestens eine Distanzhalter (5) derart ausgebildet ist, dass beim Abstützen des Grundkörpers (3) auf dem mindestens einen Distanzhalter (5) eine Eindringtiefe der mindestens einen Schweissspitze (4) in die zu verbindenden Kunststoffteile auf einen vorbestimmten maximalen Wert begrenzt ist.

The present invention relates to a method for producing and connecting fibre-reinforced components, in particular for an aircraft or spacecraft, comprising the steps of: (a) providing a textile planar structure, of which merely a first sub-region is impregnated with a matrix; (b) heating the textile planar structure which is impregnated in part, in such a way that the matrix provided in the first sub-region of the textile planar structure cures; (c) connecting the textile planar structure in a second sub-region of the textile planar structure, different from the first sub-region, by stitching the second sub-regions; (d) introducing a further matrix at least into the stitched second sub-regions of the textile planar structure; and (e) heating the impregnated textile planar structure in such a way that the further matrix present in the stitched second sub-regions of the textile planar structure cures. The present invention further relates to aircraft or spacecraft production.
