The invention relates to a new concrete admixture based on metal silicate hydrates and ettringite for improving the strength development at both early and longer ages of low-carbon cementitious compositions based on Portland cement and supplementary cementitious materials SCMs, including fly ash, slag, natural pozzolans, silica fume, calcined clays and fillers, such as limestone powder.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine wässrige Suspension umfassend 5 bis 65 Gewichts-% Calciumhydroxid, wobei mindestens 50 Gewichts-% des Calciumhydroxids in Form von Nanopartikeln vorliegen, und mindestens eine Verbindung zur Stabilisierung der Suspension. Die wässrige Suspension beschleunigt das Abbinden mineralischer Bindemittelzusammensetzungen ohne die Verarbeitungseigenschaften der Zusammensetzung negativ zu beeinflussen.

The present application relates to a setting and hardening accelerator for a cement, mortar or concrete composition, optionally comprising cement replacement materials (CSMs). The accelerator composition comprises an aqueous nitrate solution and an alkaline hydroxide. Particularly, the aqueous accelerator composition comprises between 30 and 55 w/w % of a nitrate salt as a nitrate solution and between 0.02 and 0.1 w/w% of an alkaline hydroxide, which is dissolved in the nitrate solution and, optionally, as a hydroxide precipitate in the accelerator composition, wherein the accelerator composition has a pH of at least 9.0. In case the cement, mortar or concrete composition comprises CSMs, the accelerator composition has a pH of at least 12.0. The application furthermore relates to the use of the accelerator composition according to the present application and to a method for accelerating a cement, mortar or concrete composition by reacting the composition with the accelerator according to the application, in particular at cold temperatures.

The presently disclosed and claimed inventive concept(s) relates generally to a hydraulic composition with a prolonged open time. More particularly, the composition comprises at least one cement retarder and at least one accelerator. The presently disclosed and claimed inventive concept(s) further relates to a dry mortar composition comprising the hydraulic composition having prolonged open time without deterioration of the other cement tile adhesive properties such as workability, setting time, strength development and sag resistance.

The present invention provides a rapid set cement foam as replacement for a foaming resin, which is a petrochemical product in the art, and the method for preparing the same. The rapid set cement foam is prepared by mixing: an aqueous solution composed of water and a foaming agent; cement mixed with the aqueous foam solution to be foamed; silica; ceramic powder; and an accelerating agent mixed with the foam cement. The method for preparing a rapid cement foam includes; a step for foaming an aqueous foam solution obtained by dissolving a foaming agent in water; a step for forming a cement slurry by mixing a foam and cement; a step for adding an accelerating agent to the cement slurry; and a step for forming a rapid set cement foam by casting the cement slurry mixed with additives into a mold or over walls of a building.

A method of accelerating the setting reaction of calcium sulphate hemihydrafce and water comprises the steps of mixing water and calcium sulphate hemihydrate to produce a slurry adding an accelerator to said mixture applying ultrasonic energy to said mixture. Application of ultrasound to the plaster slurry accelerates crystallization and thus reduces the setting time. A further benefit is reduced density of the wall boards.

The invention concerns an aqueous suspension comprising: A) silica and/or alumina particles; and B) a compound of global formula (I): Al(OH)a(SO4)b(SiOx)c(Y)d with: a ranging between 0.4 and 2; b ranging between 0.3 and 1.35; c ranging between 0 and 0.1; d being more than 0.05; Y selected among the alkaline and alkaline-earth metals; x ranging between 2 and 4, and its derivatives. Said compound (B) being present in the suspension at a concentration of at least 1.65 mol/l expressed in aluminium mol derived from said compound. It also concerns a method useful for preparing said suspension and their uses in the field of cement pastes, mortars and concrete and particularly as setting and hardening accelerator of cements.
