Abstract:
A crystallizer (4) for edible oils or fats comprising a vessel (6), a rotor (11) rotatably arranged in said vessel (6) rotatable around a vertical rotational axis (x), in which rotor (11) a plurality of axially elongated parallel tubes (12) are arranged at a distance from each other, an inlet (7) at the top of said vessel (6) which inlet is arranged to convey the edible oils or fats into said vessel (6), an outlet (8) at the bottom of said vessel (6) which outlet is arranged to convey a crystal slurry, formed in the vessel (6) from the edible oils or fats, out of said vessel (6), an inlet pipe (9) arranged to convey a cooling medium into said vessel (6) and rotor (11), wherein the inlet pipe (9) is connected to first end openings of said parallel tubes (12) for further conveying said cooling medium into said parallel tubes (12), an outlet pipe (10) arranged to convey said cooling medium from said rotor (11) out of the vessel (6), wherein the outlet pipe (10) is connected to second end openings of said parallel tubes (12).
Abstract:
A method for producing powderized cannabis oil, and the resulting powderized cannabis oil, in which concentrated cannabis oil is mixed with and absorbed by a modified starch powder, preferably maltodextrin, in a ratio of at least three grams of starch powder for every one-eighth of a gram of cannabis oil is disclosed. Further disclosed are beverages, baked goods and single-serve beverage brewing cartridges utilizing or incorporating the powderized cannabis oil to create human-consumable products that contain an emulsified, tasteless, and odorless dose of cannabis oil.
Abstract:
The invention relates to edible fat powders having a full width at half maximum of the first order long spacing X-ray diffraction peak of 0.17 to 0.80 degrees and a free flowing density of 10 to 350 g/l; with the proviso that when the free flowing density is equal to or greater than C, the full width at half maximum is equal to or greater than ((A * free flowing density) + B), wherein A is 0.0005625, B is 0.213 degrees and C is 90 g/l. The invention further relates to a method of preparing a fat continuous spread comprising the use of such edible fat powder.
Abstract:
The invention provides operating the dry or solvent fractionation of oils and fats in a crystalliser comprising a crystallisation vessel (1,2), an agitator, cooling means and a drive, wherein said drive provides said agitator with an oscillating motion, and/or a rotating motion around an axis, with the proviso that each point of said agitator moves at substantially the same linear speed. The invention also provides a crystalliser comprising a crystallisation vessel (1,2) having a polygonal cross-section, an agitator and a drive, wherein said drive provides said agitator with an oscillating motion, and wherein said agitator is not inclined to the moving direction.
Abstract:
The invention relates to encapsulated flavour and/or fragrance preparations and a method for producing same from a spray solution consisting of an aqueous solution of polymeric carriers and emulsified flavours and/or fragrances. The granules have an adjustable particle size of between 0.2 and 2 mm, present even size distribution and a globular shape and are further characterized by a high concentration and high retention of volatile flavours.
Abstract:
We describe solid delivery systems for release of aroma ingredients, comprising an extrusion formed matrix containing an effective amount of substantially hydrophilic aroma material. These systems are useful for flavoring consumer products. Extruded solid Furaneol3 (origin: Firmenich SA, Geneva, Switzerland), and derivatives having a content of up to 40 % by weight of the latter, are disclosed.
