The invention relates to a device and a corresponding method for the draft correction of a conveyed, in particular textile, material web (W), in which at least two flexed rolls (3, 4) are provided in a machine frame (2), the free ends (3', 3", 4', 4") of said flexed rolls being connected to each other by means of a holding plate (5, 6) respectively. According to the invention, both holding plates (5, 6) are disposed opposite of one another and are rotatably mounted about a common rotational axis (D) on the machine frame (2). It is particularly advantageous that both flexed rolls (3, 4) are pivotably mounted on both holding plates (5, 6).

The invention relates to a method for the determination of the number of events per unit length, for example the density of threads in a textile- or metal-weave sample, whereby a strip of the sample is mapped on a CCD array. The signal from the CCD array is subjected to a fourier transformation and the frequency with the highest amplitude is determined as the number of events required. From this figure the result can be converted into number of events per unit length by a microprocessor, which can advantageously also perform the fourier transform and is preferably directly displayed in digital form and/or fed to an external computer by means of an interface, for storage and further processing. The above method is very quick, simple and accurate and allows precise monitoring of such events with economic means.

The invention relates to a method for determining a draft angle between the longitudinal extension of the weft threads or stitches courses of a textile web (T) that is continuously conveyed in a conveyor device (M) and the vertical to the conveying direction, using a lighting device (100A), a photoelectric sensor device (107) with a plurality of sensor elements, and an evaluating device (115) for processing the scanning values of the sensor fields in order to obtain a draft angle. Said evaluating device is connected to the sensor device. An arrangement of randomly accessible sensor elements with a plurality of rows and columns is used and different predetermined groups of sensor elements are interrogated in successive interrogation steps, said sensor elements lying on essentially one sensor field line respectively. In each interrogating step, the groups are determined in such a way as to interrogate sensor field lines with successive modified angle positions in relation to the conveyor device.
