The invention relates to a method for producing a composite component from a plastic structure (1, 25, 31, 37) and a metallic body (4, 25, 35, 40), by compression between jointing tools (11, 13). The plastic structure (1, 25, 31, 37) and metallic body (4, 24, 35, 40) are joined by the penetration of punched edges into the plastic structure (1, 25, 31, 37), caused by the compression of impact surfaces (12, 14) of the jointing tools (11, 13), thus achieving a permanent positive and non-positive connection (34). The composite components thus obtained are characterised by a high degree of rigidity and stability, whilst remaining lightweight.

The present invention relates to a method for providing an inductive sealing bar (100), comprising the steps of providing a conductive coil (110) having at least one heating zone, embedding said coil in a supportive body (120) such that said supportive body covers the entire coil (110) along at least some part of the length of the at least one heating zone; and providing a sealing surface of said sealing bar (100) by planarizing said coil (110)and said supportive body (120) such that said coil (100) is exposed along the entire length of said at least one heating zone. The invention also relates to a sealing bar (100) manufactured according to the method.

The joint component (11) and the joining component (12) are joined by applying ultrasonic vibrations to fuse the fusible shaft, which is inserted in the insertion hole. The joint component (11) and the joining component (12) each include positioning members, at least in two places, which position the joint component and the joining component when engaged with each other. The joining method includes a step of determining position of the joint component and the joining component through positioning members, while the fusible shaft is inserted in the insertion hole of the joint component and a step of positioning the joint component at a predetermined position through the positioning members. While positioning the joint component and the joining component, the joint component and the joining component are joined in such a manner that a gap is formed between the insertion hole and the fusible shaft so as to interrupt contact between the insertion hole and the fusible shaft.

The application of end plates to packing container bodies is done customarily in that preformed end plates are placed in the desired position and are sealed with the help of sealing jaws, which as the material is thermoplastic comprise means for heating the material. The sealing jaws operate with large forces and the arrangement is relatively complicated. A simpler method and an arrangement for the application of an end plate (6) to a packing container body (5) is proposed in accordance with the invention which operates with a heated end blank (6) consisting of thermoformable material which by means of a pressure difference between the two sides of the blank (6) is vacuum-formed over the end of the packing container body (5) and is sealed to its end zone. The arrangement comprises a vacuum chamber (4) adapted to the shape of the packing container.
