Aqueous adhesive preparations, especially for labeling bottles, should have a high adhesion value and be odorless when removed again. To this end, aqueous preparations are utilized which contain 1 to 70 wt. % of a copolymer from acid group carrying monomers and hydrophobic monomers. If desired, the aqueous preparations can contain one or more admixture components for improving the wet adhesive strength and/or for adjusting the open time. If desired, said preparations can additionally contain preservatives, antifoaming agents, dyes and/or other common auxiliary agents. The inventive preparations can be utilized as labeling adhesives for attaching water permeable hydrophilic substrates to hard surfaces.
