In order to enable, in particular, platform doors even for train traffic with manually driven trains, the stopping position and the standstill of a train (35) are determined in the region of the platform (31) by means of a track-side sensor device (2, 21, 36 to 39). A driving permission (Fa) for the departure of the train is prevented by means of a track device (5, 22) connected to the track-side sensor device (2, 21, 36 to 39) and the platform doors (6, 25, 34) are opened when the train (35) has reached a stopping position aligned with the platform doors (6, 25, 34). After the platform doors (6, 25, 34) have been closed and locked, the driving permission (Fa) for the departure (Fa) is released. The invention further relates to a platform-door track assembly.
