Abstract:
The use of a complex ester obtainable by esterification reaction between aliphatic linear or branched C2- to C12-dicarboxylic acids, aliphatic linear or branched polyhydroxy alcohols with 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups, and, as chain stopping agents, aliphatic linear or branched C1- to C30-monocarboxylic acids or aliphatic linear or branched monobasic C1- to C30-alcohols, as an additive in a fuel for reducing fuel consumption in the operation of an internal combustion engine with this fuel.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a new type of quaternized ammonium salts of hydrocarbyl epoxides, the production thereof, and the use thereof as a fuel and lubricant additive, in particular as a detergent additive; for reducing or preventing deposits in the injection systems of direct-injection diesel engines, in particular in common-rail injection systems, for reducing the fuel consumption of direct-injection diesel engines, in particular diesel engines having common-rail injection systems, and for minimizing the power loss in direct-injection diesel engines, in particular in diesel engines having common-rail injection systems; and as an additive for gasolines, in particular for the operation of DISI engines.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of substituted monoureas, diureas, polyureas, monourethanes, bisurethanes, or polyurethanes of the formula R 1 X-CO-NR 3 R 4 , in which X represents R 2 N or O, and R 1 to R 4 represent hydrogen, alkyl groups, alkenyl groups, cycloalkyl groups, aryl groups, or aryl-alkyl groups independently of one another, wherein at least one variable must contain four carbon atoms and the urea or urethane functionality can be present multiple times via bridge elements, in order to further improve the cold flow properties of mineral oils and crude oils which already contain an additional organic compound that is suitable for dispersing or aiding the dispersion of paraffin crystals precipitated at low temperatures and an additional organic compound that improves the cold flow behavior of mineral oils and crude oils.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to innovative quaternized polyetheramines and to the preparation thereof. The present invention further relates to the use of these compounds as a fuel and lubricant additive. More particularly the invention relates to the use of these quaternized nitrogen compounds as a fuel additive for reducing or preventing deposits in the injection systems of direct injection diesel engines, especially in common rail injection systems, for reducing the fuel consumption of direct injection diesel engines, especially of diesel engines with common rail injection systems, and for minimizing power loss in direct injection diesel engines, especially in diesel engines with common rail injection systems. The invention also provides additive packages comprising these polyetheramines, and fuels and lubricants additized therewith. The invention further relates to the use of these quaternized nitrogen compounds as an additive for gasoline fuels, especially for improving the intake system cleanliness of gasoline engines.
