摘要:
An attenuated strain of the virus of contagious turkey rhinotracheitis is obtained by alternate embryonic egg and tracheal organ culture passaging of the virus of contagious turkey rhinotracheitis. Turkeys may be vaccinated to prevent them getting turkey rhinotracheitis, and chickens may be vaccinated to prevent them getting swollen head syndrome.

Described herein are compositions and methods for stimulating an immune response to one or more proteins derived from one or more respiratory pathogens. In particular, the invention relates to alphavirus replicons, alphavirus vector constructs, alphavirus replicon particles expressing one or more antigens derived from one or more respiratory pathogens as well as to method of making and using these immunogenic compositions.

The present invention provides an isolated mammalian negative strand RNA virus, metapneumovirus (MPV), within the sub-family Pneumoviridae, of the family Paramyxoviridae. The invention also provides isolated mammalian negative strand RNA viruses identifiable as phylogenetically corresponding or relating to the genus Metapneumovirus and components thereof. In particular the invention provides a mammalian MPV, subgroups and variants thereof. The invention relates to genomic nucleotide sequences of different isolates of mammalian metapneumoviruses, in particular human metapneumoviruses. The invention relates to the use of the sequence information of different isolates of mammalian metapneumoviruses for diagnostic and therapeutic methods. The present invention relates to nucleotide sequences encoding the genome of a metapneumovirus or a portion thereof, including both mammalian and avian metapneumovirus. The invention further encompasses chimeric or recombinant viruses encoded by said nucleotide sequences. The invention also relates to chimeric and recombinant mammalian MPV that comprise one or more non-native or heterologous sequences. The invention further relates to vaccine formulations comprising mammalian or avian metapneumovirus, including recombinant and chimeric forms of said viruses. The vaccine preparations of the invention encompass multivalent vaccines, including bivalent and trivalent vaccine preparations. The invention also provide methods for propagating virus.
摘要:
Recombinant human parainfluenza virus type 2 (HPIV2) viruses and related immunogenic compositions and methods are provided. The recombinant HPIV2 viruses, including HPIV2 chimeric and chimeric vector viruses, provided according to the invention are infectious and attenuated in permissive mammalian subjects, including humans, and are useful in immunogenic compositions for eliciting an immune responses against one or more PIVs, against one or more non-PIV pathogens, or against a PIV and a non-PIV pathogen. Also provided are isolated polynucleotide molecules and vectors incorporating a recombinant HPIV2 genome or antigenome.

Recombinant HMPV (rHMPV) and related immunogenic compositions and methods are provided. The rHMPVs, including chimeric and HMPV vector viruses, provided according to the current disclosure are infectious and attenuated in permissive mammalian subjects, including humans. The rHMPVs are useful in immunogenic compositions for eliciting an immune response against HPIV, against one or more non-HMPV pathogens, or against a HMPV and a non-HMPV pathogen. Also provided are isolated polynucloetide molecules and vectors incorporating a recombinant HMPV genome or antigenome.

The invention relates to a vaccine against members of the genus metapneumovirus or RSV or a virus that comprises a significant genetic homology in the F protein to members of the genus metapneumovirus, whereby the vaccine is an attenuated live vaccine. In particular, the vaccine is directed against metapneumovirus of avian or human origin.

An avian vaccine formula including at least three polynucleotide vaccine valencies that each include a plasmid containing an avian pathogen valency gene capable of being expressed in vivo in host cells. Said valencies are selected from the group which consists of Marek's disease virus, Newcastle disease virus, infectious bursal disease virus, infectious bronchitis virus and infectious anaemia virus. The plasmids include one or more genes per valency, and said genes are selected from the group which consists of gB and gD for Marek's disease virus, HN and F for Newcastle disease virus, VP2 for infectious bursal disease virus, S, M and N for infectious bronchitis virus and C + NS1 for infectious anaemia virus.
