    摘要: A system and apparatus for sealing an uncoated portion of a length of plastic-coated pipe are disclosed. The system comprises a thermoplastic piece shaped to conform to the uncoated portion and overlap the pipe coating at an interface surrounding the uncoated portion, the piece including a heat-generating trace adjacent to its edges and the heat-generating trace including a plurality of trace leads extending therefrom. The system further comprises a clamp for applying pressure to the interface, the clamp including at least two compression bands and a cross member, each of the compression bands and the cross member including a plurality of power leads, each of the power leads corresponding to one of the trace leads. The power leads preferably automatically are placed into electrical contact with said trace leads when the clamp is applied over the thermoplastic piece.

    摘要: An impermeable hose has a wall corrugated along at least a part of its length, and formed by an inner thin resin layer, a laminated layer including a metal film, or a layer formed by a metal film, and an outer thin resin layer. It has a very high fluid impermeability owing to its wall layer including or formed by a metal film, and is also very flexible, capable of absorbing vibration, light in weight and strong. A tubular inner thin resin layer is formed by extrusion as the innermost layer of a multi-layered hose wall, and a laminated tape including a metal film, or simply a metal film is spirally wound or longitudinally lapped about the inner resin layer. An outer thin resin layer is formed about a layer formed by the laminated tape, or metal film, and the whole is at least partly corrugated. Alternatively, corrugation is done before an outer thin resin layer is formed by electrostatic powder coating. A different process includes applying a laminated tape including a metal film about a mandrel to form a tubular laminated layer, and after removing the mandrel, coating the inner surface of the tubular layer with a resin powder electrostatically to form a thin resin layer thereon.

    摘要: An apparatus (1) for covering pipe sections for insulation, the pipe section (C) comprising a cladding (M) extending about a longitudinal axis (A) and provided with a longitudinal cut (T);
    the apparatus (1) comprises a supporting frame (2) for supporting a work surface (3) for resting at least one covering sheet (R) made of flexible material, which has an adhesion face (F) adapted to be directed upward and has an extension at least equal to the external extension of the cladding (M) of a pipe section (C) being processed, and a transfer assembly (4) for transferring the pipe section (C) being processed which is resting on the adhesion face (F) in combined rotation and translation along a work direction (D) substantially parallel to the work surface (3).
    Such transfer assembly (4) comprises guiding means (6) for guiding the pipe section (C) being processed in rotation about its own longitudinal axis (A), which are positioned above the work surface (3), and means for actuation (7) of the guiding means (6) in translation along at least one wrapping stroke that lies along the work direction (D).
    The transfer assembly (4) comprises adjustment means which are functionally associated with the means for actuation (7) so as to obtain a variation of the wrapping stroke imparted to the guiding means (6).
