Disclosed are a lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol and a process for the preparation thereof, a polymer composition, a permanently anti-electrostatic resin composition, a lactone-modified resin having hydroxyl groups, and a process for the preparation thereof. The lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol can be used in wide fields owing to capability of freely adjusting a water solubility such as water-soluble, gradually water-soluble, low water-soluble, and water-insoluble by a degree modified by lactone compounds, and owing to possessing both properties in PVA and lactones. Furthermore, the lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol has a property as plasticizers or softening agents, as a result, there can be provided a polymer composition having an excellent property by mixing with hydrophilic polymer or polar polymer. Still further, a blend resin composition in which a variety of resins are blended with the lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol has an excellent permanently-anti-electrostatic property, and the resin composition having a permanently-anti-electrostatic property can be preferably employed as a variety of molded articles such as parts for electric appliances, textiles, films, etc.

Disclosed is a thermoplastic flexible film suitable for wrapping static sensitive devices such as electronic circuit boards. The film is made of an inherently hydrophilic polyether block amide copolymer in blend with a compatible polymer. Compatible polymers typically are amide polymers or are acid copolymers, such as the nylons or ionomers. The film has a degree of hydrophilicity suitable for packaging static sensitive devices, yet the film is antistatic without requiring the addition of an antistatic agent.

This invention provides a clear resin composition capable of insuring adequate and semi-permanent antistaticity or ionic conductivity through incorporation of a high molecular compound in a small proportion. The static-inhibited resin composition of the invention comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of a resin and (B) 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a high molecular compound having an average molecular weight of not less than 10,000 as prepared by reacting a polyoxyalkylene glycol having an ethylene oxide content of not less than 50 weight percent with at least one member selected from the group consisting of polycarboxylic acids, polycarboxylic anhydrides, polycarboxylic acid lower alkyl esters and organic polyisocyanates.

A flame retardant adhesive composition comprising 50-90% latex, 10-50% substantially nonreactive, biominated polymer and 0-15% antimony oxide. The latex comprises 1-10% crosslinking agent and 90-99% copolymer comprising 15-50% (meth-)acrylonitrile, 45-84% acrylate ester and 1-10% (meth-)acrylic acid, itaconic acid or mixtures thereof. This composition is a particular useful adhesive for polyimide films in the fabrication of solderable flexible circuits.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von elektrisch leitfähigen polymeren Systemen mit elektrischen Leitfähigkeitswerten größer als 10 -4 S/cm aus Polyarylen-Verbindungen, bei dem man Polyarylen-Verbindungen, die mindestens einmal das Kettenglied der Formel: enthalten, wobei n jeweils größer als 1, vorzugsweise 2 bis 50, ist, R eine Nitril-, Säureamid-, Carbonyl- oder Estergruppe und R' und R 2 ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Nitril-, Säureamid-, Carboxyl- oder Estergruppe darstellen mit der Maßgabe, daß stets der eine der Reste R' oder R 2 ein Wasserstoffatom und der andere dieser beiden Reste eine Nitril-, Säureamid-, Carboxyl- oder Estergruppe ist, und Y einen aromatischen Rest, vorzugsweise Phenylen, bedeutet, unter Ausschluß von Wasserfeuchtigkeit und von Sauerstoff mit 0,03 bis 0,9 Molprozent eines elektronenanziehenden oder elektronenabgebenden Komplexierungsmittel dotiert.
