Abstract:
The invention provides an apparatus for sampling and determining characteristics of a light source. The apparatus comprises a sensor system configured to sample the spatial and spectral radiation characteristics of the light source and a goniometer that is configured to desirably control and adjust the relative position between the sensor system and the light source. The goniometer is configured to position the sensor system relative to the light source using two or more degrees of freedom. The apparatus additionally includes a control system configured to control the operation of the sensor system and the sampling of the spatial and spectral radiation characteristics of the light source. The control system is further configured to control operation of the goniometer for the relative positioning of the sensor system and the light source.
Abstract:
Methods of selecting spectral elements and system components for a multivariate optical analysis system include providing spectral calibration data for a sample of interest; identifying a plurality of combinations of system components; modeling performance of a pilot system with one of the combinations of system components; determining optimal characteristics of the pilot system; and selecting optimal system components from among the combinations of system components.
Abstract:
A robust, compact spectrometer apparatus for determining respective concentrations or partial pressures of multiple gases in a gas sample with single as well as multiple and even overlapping absorption or emission spectra that span a wide spectral range. Embodiments may include at least a scanning mirror or diffraction grating (46) and a beam splitter (44) for dviding and dispersing a collimated input beam (40) into plural bands may include, for example, infrared bands of 3 to 5 micrometers and 7 to 10 micrometers.

THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF PHARMACEUTICAL SPECIMENS BY NONDESTRUCTIVELY OBTAINING THE MOLECULAR DATA FOR A CHEMICAL COMPONENT ON THE SURFACE OR WITHIN THE MATRIX OF A PHARMACEUTICAL SPECIMEN.FIG.1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a spectrometer (1) comprising an element for dispersing a light beam formed by a set of spectral components, said dispersing element spatially dispersing the spectral components in the form of a spatially-distributed dispersion spectrum (6), and at least one photonic detector (5, 52) comprising at least one detection element (51) which is disposed at one point of said dispersion. According to the invention, a matrix optics electro-micromechanical device (3) is disposed between the dispersing element and the detector in the dispersion spectrum, said electro-micromechanical device comprising a matrix of optical components. Each of said optical components can reflect one part of the dispersion spectrum in at least two directions according to a control signal so that at least one subset of the spectrum can be selected for said detection element. A method and an application of the spectrometer are claimed.
Abstract:
In a device for supporting and linearly moving a movable member has a function that a radial displacement of the movable member is compensated in one position, and a radial angle of the movable member is compensated in other position, or a function that the movable member is supported while maintaining a radial angle of the movable member, or a function that the movable member is positioned on the basis of compensating signals removing the external force generated by a rotational actuator.
