Abstract:
This invention relates to a process and an apparatus for production of catalytically active metal composites comprising a solid support material. The metal composites can be designed with a combination of metallic or a combination of metallic and non-metallic materials. The process provides confinement of metal by a shell structure, which is also named eggshell-structure. The activation of at least one chemical reaction like a synthesis reaction, a molecular decomposition or an oxidation reaction can be facilitated by such a material.
Abstract:
Disclosed in certain implementations is a catalysis composition that includes a metal catalyst and a support material impregnated with the metal catalyst.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a cobalt-based catalyst on a metal structure for selective production of synthetic oil via Fischer-Tropsch reaction, a method of preparing the same and a method of selectively producing synthetic oil using the same, wherein zeolite, cobalt and a support are mixed and ground to give a catalyst sol, which is then uniformly thinly applied on the surface of a metal structure using a spray-coating process, thereby preventing generation of heat during Fischer-Tropsch reaction and selectively producing synthetic oil having a carbon chain shorter than that of wax. This catalyst is prepared by burning a powder mixture obtained by melt infiltration of a cobalt hydrate and a metal oxide support to give a catalyst powder including cobalt oxide/metal oxide support; hybridizing the catalyst powder including cobalt oxide/metal oxide support with a zeolite powder to give a hybrid catalyst powder; mixing the hybrid catalyst powder with an organic binder and an inorganic binder and grinding the mixed hybrid catalyst powder to give a hybrid catalyst sol; spray-coating a metal structure surface-treated with alumina by atomic layer deposition with the hybrid catalyst sol; and thermally treating the metal structure spray-coated with the hybrid catalyst sol.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a macroporous monolithic composite material, especially a carbon monolith with a hierarchical porous structure comprising metal nanoparticles, and to the method for the production thereof, a method for storing hydrogen implementing same, and to a method for producing gaseous hydrogen implementing such a composite material, said method being reversible.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Selective supported catalysts compositions for alkane dehydrogenation are described, the catalyst compositions containing platinum, a tin component, a potassium component, one or more additional promoter elements, and a support. Also described are methods for the preparation of such catalyst compositions and methods for the use of such catalyst compositions in the conversion of alkanes to olefins.
