    摘要: There is provided an infrared sensor and a holder which is capable of preventing optical filters from being contaminated by adhesives used to fix filters to the detection element (infrared sensor element). A holder 20 included in an infrared sensor includes accommodation parts 21a and 21b that accommodate optical filters, recess parts 23a and 23b that are provided on the opposite surface 20a of the holder 20 which faces the to the infrared sensor element and are placed apart from the accommodation parts 21a and 21b, a groove 25a that is provided on the opposite surface 20a and is placed between the accommodation part 21a and the recess part 23a, and a groove 25b that is provided on the opposite 20a and is placed between the accommodation part 21b and the recess part 23b. The depth d2 of each of the grooves 25a and 25b is greater than the depth d1 of each of the recess parts 23a and 23b. In a process of adhering the infrared sensor element to the holder 20, an adhesive is applied to the recess parts 23a and 23b.

    摘要: An infrared camera architecture includes, for an embodiment, an infrared detector, a substrate, a plurality of electrical components coupled to the substrate, and a pedestal made of a thermally conductive material and having a leg coupled to the substrate. The infrared detector is supported by and thermally coupled to the pedestal, with the pedestal thermally isolating the infrared detector from the plurality of electrical components. The infrared detector may include a substrate having an array of infrared detectors and a readout integrated circuit interconnected with the array disposed on an upper surface thereof, with a generally planar window spaced above the array and a mesa bonded to the window. The mesa may define a closed cavity between the window and the array that encloses the array such that a solder seal bonds the mesa to the substrate so as to seal the cavity.

    摘要: An infrared detection unit includes a base carrying an infrared sensor element, and a cap configured to be fitted on the base to surround the infrared sensor element. The cap has a top wall with a window in which a semiconductor lens is fitted to collect an infrared radiation onto the infrared sensor element. The semiconductor optical lens is formed from a semiconductor substrate to have a convex lens and a flange which surround said convex lens. An infrared barrier is formed on the semiconductor lens to block the infrared radiation from passing through the boundary between the circumference of the convex lens and the window. Accordingly, the infrared sensor element can receive only the infrared radiation originating from a detection area intended by the convex lens.
