Abstract:
It is an objective of the present invention to provide a method for producing an air-permeable composite sheet which has excellent mechanical strength and compression resistance as well as PTFE's innate property such as air-permeability, water repellency, heat resistance and chemical resistance; and a filter and a fabrics material containing the air-permeable composite sheet produced by the method as a constituent material. The method for producing an air-permeable composite sheet according to the present invention is characterized in comprising steps of filling pores of a porous PTFE sheet with a hardenable material solution; hardening or semi-hardening the porous PTFE sheet filled with the hardenable material solution; and expanding the hardened or semi-hardened porous PTFE sheet.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a membrane electrode assembly which enables to improve sealing reliability, mechanical strength and handling properties of a solid polymer fuel cell. Specifically disclosed is a membrane electrode assembly comprising a membrane electrode subassembly, wherein an electrode layer and a gas diffusion layer are arranged on both sides of a polymer electrolyte membrane, and a resin frame so arranged as to surround the entire periphery of the electrolyte membrane and at least a part of the periphery of the gas diffusion layer on the electrolyte membrane side. The gas diffusion layer and the electrode layer on one side is arranged on the electrolyte membrane in such a manner that a part of the electrolyte membrane surface remains uncovered, meanwhile the gas diffusion layer on the other side is arranged on the electrolyte membrane in such a manner that it extends to the entire periphery of the electrolyte membrane. The resin frame is fixed to at least a part of the uncovered part of the electrolyte membrane surface.
Abstract:
A layered product which, when processed into a textile product by, e.g., sewing or fusing, not only conquers such a practical restriction that a knit must be used on the side to be sized but facilitates sizing. The layered product is lightweight while retaining an intact appearance and touch feeling. The layered product comprises a flexible film and a woven fabric superposed thereon, and is characterized in that the woven fabric has been superposed on the side to be sized when the layered product is processed into a textile product and that the warps and wefts constituting the woven fabric have a total cover factor (CFtotal), which is calculated from the cover factors of the warps and the wefts, respectively, of 700-1,400. CFtotal=CFm+CFt CFm: cover factor of warps CFt: cover factor of wefts
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a waterproof sound-penneable hood having excellent waterproofness and excellent sound permeability. The waterproof sound-permeable hood of the present invention is formed of a waterproof material, which hood includes a waterproof sound-permeable means provided on at least one of portions respectively facing to the ears of a wearer who wears the waterproof material, wherein the waterproof sound-permeable means includes a waterproof sound-permeable membrane having a sound-transmission loss of not greater than 5 db.
Abstract:
A stretch composite fabric comprises a sintered expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film and a stretch cloth laminated to each other while maintaining a flat state. The stretch composite fabric has a tensile stress at 10% elongation, as measured in at least one direction, of 1.8 N/15 mm or less. When a 5 cm-width test piece of the stretch composite fabric is stretched in a length direction under a load of 300 g and then released from the stress, an elongation recovery R of the stretch composite fabric, which is given by the following equation, is preferably 70% or more. R = (L2-L3) / (L2-L1) x 100 (In the equation, L1, L2, and L3 represent the lengths of the composite fabric before the load is applied, when the load is applied, and after the load is removed, respectively.)
Abstract:
The invention aims at providing an air filter which is improved in the tight adhesion between an ePTFE membrane and a permeable support material without impairing the mechanical strength and permeability of the support material. An air filter produced by laminating a permeable support material (1) having a region wherein fibers different in fiber diameter are entangled and a porous polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (2), wherein the mean fiber diameter of the membrane-side face of the support material (1) is smaller than that of the back of the support material (1).
