    摘要: The invention provides a method of making ophthalmic lenses with an enhanced quality and enhanced yield achieved by using molds having been treated on back surface of mold with corona discharge technique. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a mold for cast-molding contact lenses from a lens formulation, wherein the mold comprises a first mold half having a first molding surface and a first back surface, a second mold half having a second molding surface and a second back surface, wherein when the first and second mold are configured to receive each other such that a lens forming cavity is formed between the first molding surface and the second molding surface and applying a corona discharge on one of the first and second back surfaces so that the molding surface of the mold with the treated back surface has an average water contact angle smaller than the molding surface of the mold with untreated mold by about 0.1 degrees to about 6 degrees.

    摘要: A method for fabricating three-dimensional structures. In-flight heating or UV illumination modifies the properties of aerosol droplets as they are jetted onto a target surface. The UV light at least partially cures photopolymer droplets, or alternatively causes droplets of solvent-based nanoparticle dispersions to rapidly dry in-flight, and the resulting increased viscosity of the aerosol droplets facilitates the formation of free standing three-dimensional structures. This 3D fabrication can be performed using a wide variety of photopolymer, nanoparticle dispersion, and composite materials. The resulting 3D shapes can be free standing, fabricated without supports, and can attain arbitrary shapes by manipulating the print nozzle relative to the target substrate.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a method for producing a tire filled with a (meth)acrylic hydrogel, the method comprises a) providing a mixture comprising at least one water-soluble (meth)acrylic compound, water and an initiator, and b) filling the mixture in a tire in which the mixture polymerizes to form the (meth)acrylic hydrogel.
    The tire filling material is suitable for producing flat proof tires, enables fast and controlled cure and is insensitive towards dosage errors. Moreover, the tire filling material is environmental friendly and cost effective.
