With such a structure, even if one of actuators reaches the stroke end and the delivery pressure of the hydraulic pump rises to the set pressure of the main relief valve, the other actuators do not stop, and further when the main relief valve is configured to increase the set pressure during operation of a specific actuator, the load pressure of the specific actuator does not increase to the increased set pressure of the main relief valve.

The object is to make it possible to efficiently utilize rated output torque of the prime mover by performing total torque control with high precision through precise detection of absorption torque of the other hydraulic pump by use of a purely hydraulic structure and feedback of the absorption torque to the one hydraulic pump's side. For this purpose, the hydraulic drive system is equipped with: a torque feedback circuit 112v which is supplied with delivery pressure of a main pump 202 and load sensing drive pressure, modifies the delivery pressure of the main pump 202 to achieve a characteristic simulating the absorption torque of the main pump 202, and outputs the modified pressure; and a torque feedback piston 112f which is supplied with output pressure of the torque feedback circuit and controls displacement of a main pump 102 so as to decrease the displacement of the main pump 102 and thereby decrease maximum torque T12max as the output pressure increases. A hydraulic drive system for a working machine including a track device of crawler type is provided. The track device of crawler type travels with hydraulic fluid supplied from at least one hydraulic pump to right and left track motors. The hydraulic drive system is capable of easily correcting skew traveling for straight line traveling without having to replace a track motor or other large-size device and without having to specially modify a main circuit. A traveling test is conducted upon shipment from a factory. If skew is noted during the test, a plug 65b disposed on the side of a valve opening-side pressure receiving portion 28b (or 28d) of a pressure compensating valve 27b (or 27d) for track whichever is lower in speed is removed and, instead, an adjusting mechanism-mounted plug 37 is mounted. An adjusting pin 37b of the adjusting mechanism-mounted plug 37 is operated so as to strengthen a biasing force of a target compensating differential pressure adjusting spring 36b. An opening in the pressure compensating valve 27b (or 27d) is thereby corrected in an opening direction and a flow rate to a left track motor 6 (or 8) is thereby adjusted to be equal to that of a right track motor 8 (or 6).

An object to achieve favorable operability, in a combined operation that involves a specific actuator and involves a great difference in load pressure and when an operation of an operating unit for the specific actuator is a fine operation, by reducing energy consumption arising from wasted restricting pressure loss of a pressure compensating valve and by flexibly varying a flow rate of a hydraulic fluid supplied to the specific actuator depending on the load pressure. To achieve this object, a boom cylinder (3a) is provided with an open center type flow control valve (6a) that controls a hydraulic fluid from a main pump (202) and a closed center type flow control valve (6i) that controls a hydraulic fluid from a main pump (102). The main pump (102) is subject to load sensing control. The flow control valve (6a) is opened to control a supply flow rate up to an intermediate zone of an operating range of an operating unit for the boom cylinder (3a). Both the flow control valves (6a) and (6i) are opened to control the supply flow rate after the intermediate zone.

A hydraulic drive system executing the load sensing control is designed to be capable of efficiently combusting and removing filter deposits inside an exhaust gas purification device (42) by pump output power increasing control when there is no actuator operation, eliminating interference between the actuator operation and the pump output power increasing control even when they are performed at the same time, and achieving these effects with ease and at a low cost. The hydraulic drive system comprises: a solenoid selector valve (46) which selects between tank pressure and delivery pressure of a pilot pump (30) upstream of an engine revolution speed detecting valve (13) and outputs the selected pressure to a shuttle valve (45) ; and a solenoid selector valve (48) which is arranged in a line (12b) leading the output pressure of a differential pressure reducing valve (11) to an LS control valve (17b) and selects between enabling and disabling of the load sensing control. When the exhaust gas purification device (42) needs regeneration, a controller (49) executes switching to make the solenoid selector valve (46) output the delivery pressure of the pilot pump (30) as dummy load pressure and to make the solenoid selector valve (48) disable the load sensing control.
