摘要:
A protein derived from a strain of methylotrophic yeast which has a protein disulfide isomerase activity having the amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID No. 1, or protein in which said amino acid sequence has been modified by deletion or addition of one or a few amino acids, or substitution with other amino acid(s) and which has a protein disulfide isomerase activity; and a process for production thereof.

A recombinant yeast belonging to the genus Saccharomyces having a promoter of a consitutively expressed gene and a structural gene coding for O-acetylhomoserine sulfhydrylase (MET25) under the control by said promoter so that the recombinant yeast produces an amount of hydrogen sulfide lower than the amount of hydrogen sulfide produced by the parental yeast from which the recombinant yeast is derived.

A peroxidase gene derived from Arthromyces of the following nucleotide sequence: wherein Z represents either nothing or a nucleotide sequence encoding a substantially identical biological activity thereof, and a process for producing a peroxidase by said gene were provided.

The present invention relates to an expression vector which is induced by methanol and/or glycerol utilizing an alcohol oxidase gene of a methylotrophic yeast; a recombinant methylotrophic yeast containing said vector and capable of accumulating a significantly high amount of an expression product of a heterologous gene; and a method for producing useful products utilizing said recombinant. The expression vector is constructed by utilizing the promoter and terminator of an alcohol oxidase gene of methylotrophic yeast. Further, a significantly high amount of adenylate kinase, cytochrome C552 or peroxidase is produce by using said expression vector.

Fusaric acid resistant genes derived from fusaric acid decomposing or detoxifying microorganisms such as Pseudomonas cepacia and Klebsiella oxytoca are described. Also described are DNA fragments and plasmids, which comprise such fusaric acid resistant genes. Host cells comprising such plasmids are also described. Figure 1 shows the restriction maps of DNA fragments which contain different fusaric acid resistant genes, respectively.
