In the manufacture of double-walled corrugated extruded pipe it is desirable to form an integral connecting cuff that is of a single wall thickness and typically of a large diameter. The mold blocks and process parameters for forming of the cuff as part of an otherwise double-walled pipe requires a transition as the cuff moves past the die outlets. The present invention allows for accurate sensing and control of air pressure and temperature as the cuff moves past the die outlets. Improvements in both the die tooling and the method of manufacture are disclosed.

The powder slush molding machine includes: a mold heating portion that heats a mold so that the temperature of the mold is set to a value equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature; a powder slush portion that sprays a molding resin, while powdering the molding resin, to mold a sheet-like material having a predetermined thickness on the inner surface of the heated mold; a mold cooling portion that cools the mold so that the temperature of the mold is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature; a mold working portion that separates the cooled sheet-like material from the mold; and a transport device that moves the mold between the respective portions. A preheating device for heating the mold is provided at a part of the transport device.

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication de produits obtenus par injection d'une matière expansée, telle que des billes de polystyrène, dans un moule de fabrication, suivie d'une injection de vapeur, ces opérations étant mises en oeuvre dans une unité de cuisson (Uc) comportant une entrée (02) et une sortie (O1) pour ledit moule de fabrication, le procédé consistant à utiliser un convoyeur principal (Cv5) desservi par au moins un poste (P1, P2) dédié à la préparation de moules de fabrication (Mf) de sorte à pouvoir transférer, à suivre, les moules préparés vers l'entrée (02) de l'unité de cuisson (Uc). Selon l'invention, le procédé consiste à interposer un poste (P3) dédié, notamment, à l'introduction des moules dans l'unité de cuisson (Uc) et le cas échéant au décoffrage des moules, entre les postes (P1, P2) dédiés à la préparation de moules de fabrication (Mf) et l'entrée (02) de l'unité de cuisson (Uc). On peut ainsi prévoir autant de postes de préparation pour saturer l'introduction des moules dans l'unité de cuisson qui peut alors être utilisée à son potentiel maximum, sans délai d'attente. Le changement de gammes de fabrication peut également être anticipé de la même manière. Le poste d'introduction et le cas échéant de décoffrage, permet de diriger les moules préparés vers l'unité de cuisson, de démouler les produits fabriqués contenus dans les moules sortant de l'unité de cuisson. Le moule de fabrication peut refroidir le temps de son transfert sur le convoyeur principal.

Each table comprises protuberances (14) and the arrangement of the protuberances on a table can differ from that of the juxtaposed tables in order to create supporting areas for the different body parts of the user. Preferably the tables (13) with their protuberances (14) are slidably fitted onto the laying planes (7) and can be easily and quickly replaced with separately provided tables having protuberances (14) differently arranged in order to meet the support capacity values required by different users.

The die sets (25) are positioned on die supports (19) on a rotating turntable (11) or conveying system, the lenses (24) formed by compressing the die sets (25) with pressing means (13) associated with each die support (19), the lenses (24) separated from the dies (25) and the dies (25) recycled to die loading and the melt feed step of the process. The process is repeated until a desired number of lenses (24) or other optical articles such as compact disk substrates are produced.
