摘要:
In one aspect, the disclosure provides methods for isolating nucleic acid from a Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) sample. In one aspect, the disclosure provides methods for determining the amount of JC virus DNA in a sample.
摘要:
The present invention generally relates to stem cells, including progenitor and precursor cells, which are preferably immortalized, and have been derived from the central nervous system (CNS); methods for treating a host by implanting the disclosed cells, and genetically altered forms of the disclosed cells in the host, and methods for making same.
摘要:
The present invention relates to improved methods for the production of viral particles, viral vector particles and recombinant proteins. In particular, the invention relates to improved methods for the production of recombinant polyomaviral vector particles and polyomaviral vector production cell lines. More in particular, the invention relates to methods for the production of simian polyomaviral vector particles such as simian virus 40 (SV40) viral vector particles. The invention also relates to compositions comprising viral vectors and uses thereof and viral vector particles to treat genetic disorders, transplant rejection, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, allergies or cancer. The invention also relates to methods for the production of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells and methods to enhance the production of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells.
摘要:
The invention relates to a method for producing virus-like particles on the basis of polyoma viruses. The invention can be used in medical fields such as gene therapy, vaccine development and diagnosis as well as in veterinary medicine. The aim of the invention is to develop a method for producing virus-like particles for gene therapy, diagnosis and vaccine development. This method should enable a highly efficient production of non-infectious, endotoxin-free virus-like particles which are suitable for humane applications. The inventive method relates to the application of a yeast high-expression system which permits the production of large quantities of virus-like particles on the basis of the main capsid protein VP1 of polyoma viruses. By extracting said particles from yeast cells, these virus-like particles are endotoxin-free and suitable for humane applications.

摘要:
The invention provides methods for the preparation of an isolated virus particle or virus-like particle by treating with an agent such that the particles are preferentially in the aqueous phase. The invention also provides methods of preparing a capsomere that is substantially-free of at least one host cell derived chaperone protein by treatment with an agent to selectively separate the capsomere from at least one chaperone protein.
