Abstract:
The present patent application relates to a method for gluing two adjacent substrates together by using a radiation curable adhesive composition and a use of a radiation curable adhesive composition for gluing. In particular, the method for gluing involves the use of a radiation curable adhesive composition which comprises from 0.1 wt.% to 30 wt.% of fibers compared to the total weight of the radiation curable adhesive composition, wherein the fibers have a length comprised from 100 microns to 50 mm.
Abstract:
A laminate body (1) of the present invention includes a base material (2), a film-like or a membrane-like undercoat layer (3 or 103) that is formed in at least a portion of the outer surface of the base material (2), and an atomic layer deposition film (4) that is formed on a surface opposite to a surface coming into contact with the base material (2) among both surfaces of the undercoat layer (3 or 103) in the thickness direction thereof. At least a portion of precursors of the atomic layer deposition film (4) bind to the undercoat layer (3 or 103), and the atomic layer deposition film (4) is formed into a membrane shape covering the undercoat layer (3 or 103).
Abstract:
Described are adhesive compositions containing a mixture of a pressure sensitive adhesive, a high Tg polymer, and a crosslinker to form a compatibilized blend that is optically clear. Methods of using the adhesive compositions, and multilayer assemblies such as optical elements prepared using the adhesives, are also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a curable resin composition and its application to laminate film, which can form a coating film having excellent performances such as adhesion to various substrates at a low temperature of 150 DEG C or lower, water resistance and chemical resistance, can be suitably used for various purposes of use, and can be used safely. The curable resin composition comprises a carboxyl group-containing polymer and an oxazoline group-containing polymer, and is characterized in that the carboxyl group-containing polymer contains primary and/or secondary amino groups.
Abstract:
Improved rosin ester compositions are provided having diminished tendency toward hazing concomitant with good viscosity stability when employed in adhesive systems such as hot melt adhesive systems. Addition of zinc composition to rosin ester formulations in an effective amount serves to secure these improvements. Zinc oxide, zinc hydroxide and zinc salts of organic acids are suitable for employment with zinc resinates being preferred in accordance with the practice of certain embodiments.

Abstract:
An aqueous adhesive composition including a certain emulsion polymer and an epoxysilane wherein the adhesive composition is substantially free from crosslinking agent is provided. A method for providing a substrate bearing a paper label, the adhered label having ice water resistance, and a method for removing the paper label from the substrate are also provided.
Abstract:
This invention is a preapplied liquid adhesive whose components, when dried and heated, react to form a polymer. Laminates made with the thermoset adhesive withstand exposure to 240 DEG F (116 DEG C). The adhesive combines urethane dispersions, carboxyl functional acrylic latices and tertiary amine blocking agent.
