    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new nucleic acid molecule that can inhibit expression of RPN2 gene in treatment of drug-resistant breast cancer.SOLUTION: The nucleic acid molecule for inhibiting the expression of RPN2 gene comprises any one of the nucleotide sequences of the following (as1), (as2) and (as3) as the sequence to inhibit the expression of RPN2 gene, where (as1) is nucleotides of a specified base sequence; (as2) is nucleotides having deletion, substitution and/or addition of one or several bases in the base sequence of (as1) and having a function inhibiting the expression of RPN2 gene being a target of drug-resistant breast cancer treatment; and (as3) is nucleotides having 90% or more homology to the base sequence of (as1).

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new nucleic acid molecule suppressible of gene expression.SOLUTION: This single-stranded RNA molecule includes an expression-suppressing sequence suppressing expression of a target gene, including, from 5' side to 3' side, a 5' side region (Xc), a linker region (Lx) and a 3' side region (X) in this order; where the 5' side region (Xc) is complementary to the 3' side region (X), at least one of the 5' side region (Xc) and the 3' side region (X) contains the expression-suppressing sequence, and the molecule satisfies at least either condition of the following (1) and (2). The condition (1): a 3' terminal region of the 5' side region (Xc) and a 5' terminal region of the 3' side region (X) hybridize by a hydrogen bonding between an adenine base and a urasil base. The condition (2): at least either of the 3' terminal region of the 5' side region (Xc) and the 5' terminal region of the 3' side region (X) has a deoxyribonucleotide residue.

The 5' side region (Xc) is complementary to the inner 5' side region (X). The 3' side region (Yc) is complementary to the inner 3' side region (Y). At least one of the inner region (Z), the 5' side region (Xc), and the 3' side region (Yc) includes the expression inhibitory sequence. According to this single-stranded nucleic acid molecule, it is possible to inhibit the expression of the target gene.
