    SOLUTION: Treating object gas such as air is brought into contact with a water adsorbent to remove moisture contained in the gas, then is brought into contact with a palladium catalyst to remove nitrogen oxides contained in the gas. The treatment apparatus is provided with at least an inlet port of the treating object gas, a packed part of the water absorbent, a packed part of the palladium catalyst, and a discharge port of treated gas, with the gas flowing in this order.

The exhaust gas denitration equipment includes a purging air supply device which blows purging air into the reaction part and discharges an exhaust gas nearby the catalyst unit from the reaction part.
