PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new NSAID (nitrosated nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug), a composition and a method for using the same. SOLUTION: There are provided an NSAID of the formula, its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, and a new composition containing at least one nitrosated NSAID and optionally at least one compound that donates, transfers or releases nitric oxide, stimulates endogenous synthesis of nitric oxide, elevates endogenous levels of endothelium-derived blood vessel relaxing factor or is a substrate for a nitric oxide synthase, and/or at least one therapeutic agent. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs preventing, reducing toxicities such as gastrointestinal lesions. SOLUTION: Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs which have been substituted with a nitrogen monoxide group; compositions comprising (i) a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug, which can optionally be substituted with a nitrogen monoxide group and (ii) a compound that directly donates, transfers or releases a nitrogen monoxide group (preferably as a charged species, particularly nitrosonium); and methods of treatment of inflammation, pain, gastrointestinal lesions and/or fever using the compositions are disclosed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of monitoring a crystallization process, in particular, a crystalline nucleus forming process and a crystal growing process over passage of time, and to provide a method for producing a crystal having a grain size suitable for manufacture or the like, based on the knowledge obtained by the method. SOLUTION: The method for monitoring crystallization process of a compound is performed by the use of solid 13 C-NMR. Actually, the method is performed, by tracking how the signal intensity of each site derived from carbon atoms constituting the molecular structure of the compound changes, before the compound is held at a fixed temperature and crystallized, after it has been laid in a molten state by heating to a melting point or higher by the use of the solid 13 C-NMR. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new and safe collagenase activity inhibitor and a cosmetic composition. SOLUTION: This collagenase activity inhibitor comprises indomethacin and an extract of Magnolia obovata Thunb. This cosmetic comprises indomethacin and an extract of Magnolia obovata Thunb. The collagenase activity inhibitor and the cosmetic composition have inhibitory action on collagenase activity and provides the skin with firmness and gloss and improves wrinkles and flabbiness. Consequently, the collagenase activity inhibitor and the cosmetic composition are effective against prevention of skin aging and can be applied to all forms of preparations (medicines, quasi medicines and cosmetics) and can be used for other common foods and beverages.
