Abstract:
The present description relates to a method for generating a bone density value. The method can include generating digital image data depending upon an X-ray image corresponding to at least a part of the bone; transmitting a digital image data signal comprising the digital image data; and processing said digital image data signal. The processing step can include generating a trabeculae model depending upon said processed digital image data signal; generating at least one geometrical figure depending upon the generated trabeculae model, wherein the generated geometrical figure is provided essentially within a space at least partly defined by center lines of the generated trabeculae; and calculating the bone density value depending upon the at least one generated geometrical figure. Devices and storage for the method(s) are also described.
Abstract:
A radio antenna device for a radio communication terminal, e.g. a mobile phone, comprising a flat ground plane, a first monopole antenna element in the form of a meandered antenna element, and a second monopole antenna element having a folded three-dimensional box-like shape. The meandered antenna element has a first radio signal feeding point disposed at the ground plane. Furthermore, the meandered antenna element is located in the same plane as said ground plane in a direction of extension of the ground plane. The folded three-dimensional box-like shaped antenna element has a second radio signal feeding point disposed at a support member of the ground plane. Furthermore, the folded three-dimensional box-like shaped antenna element is located adjacent to said meandered antenna element. The meandered antenna element is operable in the first frequency band region and the folded three-dimensional box-like shaped antenna element is operable in the second frequency band region.
Abstract:
A method and system for a client application (1) to request a data item from an access server (3) in a computer controlled control system. The control system includes objects and a plurality of access servers, which said objects represent various entities that have a defined functional meaning in the control system. Each access server, such as an OPC server, may provide access to one or more real-time data, historical data, and alarm and event data items. In an embodiment the method provides means, which enables the Access Service Handler (2) component, by querying a said object, to obtain a reference for a desired data item, to find out which access server handles the said data item. The Access Service handler then makes request to the identified access server.
Abstract:
A multiband radio antenna device (1) for a radio communication terminal, comprising a flat ground substrate (2), and in a plane parallel to said ground substrate a flat parasitic element (7) and a flat antenna element (3). Said antenna element has a longitudinal member (4), a first transverse member (5) extending from a first end portion of said longitudinal member, and a second transverse member (6) extending from a centre portion of said longitudinal member, wherein said parasitic element extends adjacent to an outer portion of and parallel to said second transverse member. A feeding point (8) is disposed at a center portion of said second transverse member. The parasitic element has a first ground connection (9) adjacent to said feeding point, a second ground connection (10) is disposed at an end portion of said second transverse member, and a third ground connection (11) is disposed at a center portion of said first transverse member.

Abstract:
A multi-band antenna for use in a portable telecommunication apparatus has a continuous trace (11) of conductive material. The continuous trace has a first conductive portion (13) arranged in a first plane and a second conductive portion (15-16) arranged in a second plane. The second plane is different from the first plane. The first conductive portion has a feeding end (12) to be connected to radio circuitry in the portable telecommunication apparatus. The second conductive portion (15-16) has a distinctly smaller width than the first conductive portion (13).
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for improving speech quality for signals divided into a frame structure. Speech information in a signal is detected, and a lost or corrupted transmitted frame is detected. The lost or corrupted frame is replaced by a suitable frame if a number of frames represented e.g., by a counter value, exceeds a predetermined value. The counter value may be changed, depending on whether the system is in a comfort noise generation state or in a muting period. The frame may be replaced by a frame representing mainly background noise, generated at the transmitting end during speech pauses or at the receiving end, or such a frame and a correctly received frame. The predetermined value may be the length of a muting period or may be the number of lost or corrupted frames preceding a speech frame. A first of the correctly received speech frames that follows a number of lost or corrupted frames may also be replaced. The output frames gradually approach pure speech frames.
Abstract:
The invention is directed towards providing control in a first computerized control system of a real world object provided in a second computerized control system that is connected to the first system. The real world object is represented in the second system by an originating container being linked to originating aspects representing data and/or operations of the originating container. Control in the first system is generally accomplished through providing, in the first system, a proxy container corresponding to the originating container in the second system together with aspects corresponding to originating aspects of the originating container and being linked to the proxy container.
