Abstract:
An equipment power management system in accordance with the present invention has a plurality of electrical devices and a control device. The electrical devices can operate in any one of multiple operational states different from each other in power consumption of a commercial power source. The control device switches the operational state of an electrical device to that of a smaller power consumption of the commercial power source in ascending order from the electrical device of the lowest priority when a receiving power amount of the whole equipment including the plurality of electrical devices exceeds a first threshold value until the receiving power amount falls below a second threshold value which is lower than or equal to the first threshold value.
Abstract:
An electrical apparatus includes a main unit which consumes electrical power; a power supply unit which supplies electrical power from a commercial power source to the main unit; a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit; and a power source control unit. In a state where a power source of the main unit is the power supply unit, when power consumption of the main unit exceeds a first threshold, the power source control unit changes the state to another state where the power source of the main unit is the power supply unit and secondary battery.
Abstract:
A server system is provided in which it is possible to avoid an improper operation or malicious operation on, for example, a power switch of a server. In such a system, both a management server and multiple servers are connected to a network. Each multiple server includes: an authentication key storing portion which stores an authentication key; and a management module which compares between data inputted by operating the operation switches and the authentication key stored in the authentication key storing portion, wherein the management module sets the operation switches available if the input data and the authentication key are the same. The management module includes a function of writing the authentication key received from the management server into the authentication key storing portion. The management server includes a virtualized environment software which transmits the authentication key to each of the multiple servers via the network.

Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting a specific element for detecting presence or content concentration of a specific element contained in a measurement target, which includes a raw material, such as soil or ore, a product in the form of powder, granule or gravel, and an intermediate product, a by-product, a waste material and the like generated during a process for producing the product, the apparatus comprising fluorescent X-ray measuring means that radiates an X-ray to the measurement target and measures a fluorescent X-ray generated thereby to detect the presence of the content concentration of the specific element, and film feeding means that inserts a resin film between a measuring window of the fluorescent X-ray measuring means and the measurement target, and feeds a fresh resin film between the measuring window and the measurement target along with repetition of detection of the specific element, whereby the intensity of the fluorescent X-ray can be prevented from being attenuated by measuring with the measuring window of the fluorescent X-ray measuring device in close contact with the measurement target through the resin film, the content concentration of the specific element in the order of several tens mg/kg can be accurately measured, and the measurement target can be prevented from being attached to the measuring window with the resin film.
Abstract:
This invention provides a process for producing an isotope-labeled protein used as a sample for protein 3D structural analysis via NMR in a cost-effective manner within a short period of time. In this process, a protein is synthesized using, as a substrate, an amino acid mixture that contains a maximum of 19 different types of amino acids selected from the group consisting of alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, valine, asparagine, and glutamine in a cell-free protein synthesis system.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A cluster system of mutual standby type forms groups each composed of a job execution system and a job standby system for taking over the job when problems occur in the job execution system, and provides information processing devices each with a job execution system and a job standby system of different groups. The information processing devices each include: an upper limit value storage unit for storing a power upper limit value, a power control unit for controlling use of power by its own information processing device so as not to exceed the power upper limit value stored, and an upper limit value setting unit for causing the upper limit value storage unit to store a power upper limit value smaller than the maximum power consumption of its own information processing device when it is not necessary to take over the job of another information processing device.
