摘要: A container includes a base and a pair of opposed side walls extending upward from the base. The pair of opposed side walls include a first side wall and a second side wall. The first side wall includes a lip at an upper portion thereof. A first lid is pivotably connected to the first side wall. The first lid can be selectively snap-fit connected to the lip of the first side wall to retain the first lid in an open position.

摘要: Disclosed is an elongate peg, preferably of wood, which has lips or shoulders generally perpendicular to the length of the peg body and adjacent opposite ends. The lips or shoulders are on opposite sides of the peg body. The peg is used to tighten or tension the vertical lacing in "bongo" type drums by contacting adjacent pairs of vertical lacing with the peg whereby each lip is in contact with one of the adjacent pair of vertical lacing so that when the peg is flipped generally horizontal end forward, a twist is formed in the lacing pair at one end of the peg held by the lip while the other end of the peg is forcibly held against the drum shell by the force in the twist. In a preferred aspect, the drum profile is such that the spacing between the vertical lacing and the drum shell is increased slightly to facilitate more easily the flipping of the peg but still retain a peg end in forceable contact with the shell once flipped.

摘要: A face shield assembly for the protection of the eyes and face of a wearer from infectious, hazardous or undesirable substances. The shield assembly includes a semi-flexible forehead support strip joined at its ends to the ends of a semi-flexible protective face panel support strip. The forehead support strip includes a central strip portion, intermediate strip portions foldable to (and extending outwardly from) the central portion, and end strip portions foldable to (and extending outwardly from) the intermediate strip portions. A semi-flexible, transparent protective face panel is affixed at its upper edge portion to the face panel support strip. An elastic head band is affixed at its ends to an end of the forehead support strip and extends through slip fasteners affixed to the central strip portion of the forehead support strip proximate the fold line between the central portion and the intermediate strip portions. When the elastic head band is pulled through the slip fasteners the intermediate strip portions are folded to the end portions of the forehead support strip and the ends of the face panel support strip are held in abutment to the ends of the central strip portion of the support strip. Thereafter, when the head band is placed about the head of the wearer of the eye/face shield assembly the forehead support strip in its central portion forms into an arcuate shape surrounding the forehead of the wearer and supports the protective face panel support strip, with the face panel, in arcuate spaced face protection orientation on the wearer's head.

摘要: A full-body exercise machine. The exercise machine includes a first mechanism that enables a user to selectively apply positive resistance to a first leg and/or a second leg independently or simultaneously. The resistance is applied during pushing and/or pulling motions as the first leg and/or the second leg move in opposite or similar directions relative to the second leg and/or first leg, respectively. A second mechanism selectively applies positive resistance to a first arm and/or a second arm independently or simultaneously, in different or similar directions. The resistance is applied during pushing and/or pulling motions. A third mechanism facilitates abdominal crunches, leg tucks, and/or back hyperextensions while exercising the legs and the arms via the first and second mechanisms. In a specific embodiment, the third mechanism includes a seatback linked to the first and/or second mechanisms so that actuation of the first or second mechanisms causes actuation of the seatback. Mechanical links are connected between the first mechanism, the second mechanism, and the third mechanism via swivel connectors. A stable seat accommodates the user, which facilitates performing simultaneous tasks, such as reading or watching television.

摘要: A method and system for anticipating the actions of individuals and the occurrence of natural events are disclosed. The anticipatory information system (AIS) stores information using specific and unique methods and applies unique methods to evaluate and identify the upcoming actions of individuals or the upcoming occurrence of natural events based on unique analysis methods applied to existing action and event information, previous action and event stored information, information about nearby and influential actions and the application of a method for determining and ranking the likelihood of an actions occurrence and options for mitigating the resulting effect of such actions.
