Preferred materials for the underlying substrate are selected from the group consisting of a metal, a metal alloy, a plastic, a polymer, a proteic film, a membrane, a glass or a ceramic. The second material is selected from the group consisting of inorganic crystalline structures, inorganic amorphus structures, organic crystalline structures, and organic amorphus structures. Preferred second materials are phosphates, especially calcium phosphates and most particularly calcium apatite. The biologically active molecule is a protein, peptide, DNA segment, RNA segment, nucleotide, polynucleotide, nucleoside, antibiotic, antimicrobal, radioisotope, chelated radioisotope, chelated metal, metal salt, anti-inflamatory, steriod, nonsteriod anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antihistamine, receptor binding agent, or chemotherapeutic agent, or other biologically active material. 摘要: One or more devices in a visual voicemail system voicemail notification messages indicating voicemails are available for a user of the visual voicemail system and distribute the voicemail notification messages to a network device. The one or more devices receive an indication of a backlog processing requests for the visual voicemail system and stop, based on the indication, distributing the voicemail notification messages to the network device. After the stopping, the one or more devices receive another indication that the backlog processing requests for the visual voicemail system no longer exists and resume, based on the other indication, distributing the voicemail notification messages to the network device.

摘要: A method of producing a cartilage implant which may include coating a substrate with a thermo-sensitive polymer, seeding the polymer with a cell suspension comprising cells that may differentiate into chrondocyte-like cells, wherein the seeding may be conducted at a first temperature, culturing the cell suspension at an increased temperature, whereby cells in the suspension may adhere to the polymer and differentiate into chrondrocyte-like cells, which may form a cartilagenous implant, and decreasing the temperature of the polymer which may allow detachment of the implant from the polymer. The present invention may also include an implant based on this method. The invention may further include a cartilage implant for use in a patient in need thereof, which may include a random three-dimensional configuration of differentiated cells, which may have a natural adhesion surface on at least a portion of the outer surface of the three-dimensional configuration.

摘要: Metadata may be stored in, and retrieved from, a scalable, fault-tolerant metadata service. In one example, metadata is divided into partitions, and each partition is served by one or more nodes. For each partition, a first one of the nodes may handle read and write requests, and the other nodes may handle read requests in the event that the first node is down or is experiencing high load. When a request is made with respect to metadata, a metadata server may identify a node, in the partition to which the metadata is assigned, to which the request is to be made. The entity that is making the request then contacts that node, and requests the read or write on the metadata. In a partition, metadata may be replicated between the first node and the other nodes using a log-based replication protocol.
