摘要： A reproducing apparatus reproduces a loaded disc-shaped recording medium derived from a case. The case comprises a jacket which has a space for accomodating the disc-shaped recording medium and an opening for allowing the disc-shaped recording medium to go in and out of the jacket, and a lid member inserted through the opening of the jacket for closing the opening of the jacket. The reproducing apparatus comprises an inserting opening through which the case is inserted, a turntable for rotating the disc-shaped recording medium, a clamping mechanism for clamping at least one of the disc-shaped recording medium or the lid member provided at the innermost part on the opposite side from the inserting opening with respect to the turntable, a detecting mechanism for detecting whether the disc-shaped recording medium is loaded within the reproducing apparatus, and an arresting mechanism provided at the vicinity of the inserting opening, for arresting the insertion of a jacket having the lid member into the reproducing apparatus and allowing the insertion of a jacket not having the lid member into the reproducing apparatus, by displacing according to the detecting operation of the above detecting mechanism. The arresting mechanism allows the insertion of the jacket having or not having the lid member into the reproducing apparatus in a state where the detecting mechanism is not performing a detecting operation.

摘要： A transfer control device for a reproducing transducer in a rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus having a reproducing transducer for reproducing recorded signals from a rotary recording medium and a driving motor for transferring said reproducing transducer on said rotary recording medium comprises a micro-computer having first and second output ports, where the first output port produces a signal of a pulse form which repeats high-level and low-level periods during a normal-speed transferring mode, and the second output port produces a continuous high-level or low-level signal according to the transferring mode so that a combination of a predetermined level is obtained between the output signal from the first output port, a square wave signal generating circuit applied with the output signal from the first output port of the micro-computer, where the square wave signal generating circuit is triggered to produce a predetermined square wave signal when applied with the signal of a pulse form and not triggered when applied with other signals of constant level, and a switching circuit applied with the output signal from the first and second output ports of the micro-computer, to switch over a plurality of input terminals according to the levels of the applied signals and pass the input terminal voltage through to an output side as an output voltage. The switching circuit supplies the output voltage thus obtained to the driving motor.

The reproducing apparatus comprises a reproducing transducer having a reproducing element for reproducing the main information signal and the first and second reference signals at both sides of the main information signal track from said rotary recording medium, where the reproducing transducer has a tracking control mechanism for controlling tracking of the reproducing element, a separation circuit for respectively separating the first and second reference signals from a signal reproduced by the reproducing transducer, a wave detection circuit for respectively wave-detecting the separated reference signals, a time constant circuit for eliminating an unwanted component of an output signal of the wave detection circuit and holding a required signal, a tracking control signal applying circuit for obtaining a tracking control signal from an output signal of the time constant circuit and applying the tracking control signal to the tracking control mechanism of the reproducing transducer, and an interrupting circuit provided at a stage before the time constant circuit, for interrupting transmission of the reproduced reference signals during a mode in which a tracking control operation is not performed.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head comprises the steps of providing a head main body having liquid flow paths, and an aperture surface having flow path openings communicated with the flow paths; providing a discharge port plate having extrusions each on the circumference of an inside opening communicated with each of the discharge ports, being on the inner face on the side opposite to the discharge port surface provided with discharge ports for discharging liquid, and a base having a substantially flat surface. For this method, the discharge port plate is arranged in a state of these surfaces formed integrally to be in contact; bonding the aperture surface and the inner face to fit the extrusions into the flow path openings by pressing the head main body and the base in the direction of the head main body and the base approaching each other with the discharge port plate between them; and separating the base from other members. With the method of manufacture thus structure, the liquid discharge head presents an excellent discharge efficiency by the provision of the extrusions that enter the flow paths from the orifice plate. It also becomes possible to manufacture a highly reliable liquid discharge head by a simpler manufacturing apparatus in a shorter period of time at lower costs.

摘要： A rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus comprises a holding mechanism for clamping and holding a lid plate and a rotary recording medium when a case having a jacket accommodating therein the rotary recording medium and the lid plate for closing the jacket is inserted into the reproducing apparatus through an inserting opening, where the lid plate and the rotary recording medium thus clamped and held are recovered within an empty jacket inserted through the inserting opening, a control mechanism for putting the reproducing apparatus in a state possible or not to insert the case or the jacket into the reproducing apparatus through the inserting opening, a detection circuit for detecting whether the rotary recording medium exists within the reproducing apparatus, a single load/eject switch, and a control circuit for controlling the control mechanism by use of a detection output of the detection circuit and an output of the load/eject switch, so that a state possible for inserting the case into the reproducing apparatus is obtained when the rotary recording medium does not exist within the reproducing apparatus, and a state possible for inserting the empty jacket into the reproducing apparatus is obtained when the rotary recording medium does exist within the reproducing apparatus in order to enable recovery of the rotary recording medium.

摘要： The image forming apparatus includes a process unit, a latent image writer, a power source, and a controller. The process unit is detachably attachable relative to the image forming apparatus and includes, as a single integrated unit, a latent image bearing member to bear a latent image on a surface thereof, a charging device to charge the surface of the latent image bearing member, and a development device to develop the latent image with toner. The controller causes the power source to output a charging bias at a predetermined target level supplied to the charging device. The process unit includes a first storage device to store correction information for calculating the predetermined target level of the charging bias in accordance with a combination of the latent image bearing member and the charging device. The controller corrects the predetermined target level based on the correction information in the first storage device.
