Abstract: A method for manufacturing a heat exchanger includes: assembling a plurality of heat exchanger components in an assembly step; and forming a film on surfaces of the heat exchanger components using a chemical vapor deposition method in a film formation step after the assembly step. The film can restrict a formation of a through hole due to corrosion. The film can be restricted from being damaged at a delivery or assembling time, because the film formation step is provided after the assembly step. An occurrence of clogging can be restricted at a minute portion inside of the heat exchanger in the film formation step, because the film is formed using the chemical vapor deposition method.

Abstract: An exhaust heat recovery device includes: a heating part for exchanging heat between a heating fluid and a working fluid; and a condensing part for exchanging heat between the working fluid evaporated by the heating part and a heated fluid to thereby condense the working fluid. The heating part has a tube in which the working fluid flows and whose upper end portion in a vertical direction is opened and whose lower end portion in the vertical direction is closed. The heating part has a storing part provided on an upper side in the vertical direction thereof, the storing part having a tube joint part to which the upper end portion in the vertical direction of the tube is joined and storing the working fluid condensed by the condensing part. The storing part has a condensed liquid holding part for holding the condensed working fluid.

Abstract: An EGR cooler includes an heat exchanging core which has a plurality of tubes and a first water passage, an upstream-side gas tank portion and a downstream-side gas tank portion that are respectively disposed on the upstream-side and the downstream-side to communicate with the tubes therein, a water tank portion that forms the first water passage and forms a second water passage which communicates with the water passage around the upstream-side gas tank portion, a double pipe portion that forms a gas passage which communicates with an inner portion of the upstream-side gas tank portion in the inside pipe and forms a water passage which communicates with the second water passage between the inside pipe and the outside pipe, a water inflow pipe that is connected to the outside pipe such that the cooling water flows into the water passage, and a water outflow pipe that is connected to the water tank portion such that the cooling water flows out from the first water passage.

Abstract: An exhaust heat exchanger has a fin disposed in an exhaust passage in which exhaust air flows in a flow direction and having plate portions. The plate portions respectively have a protruding portion that protrudes from the plate portions. When a direction perpendicular to both the flow direction and a direction perpendicular to the flow direction is defined as a fin height direction, (i) a protruding amount of the protruding portion in a second site is larger than that in a first site, to which the second site is located on a downstream side of the first site in the flow direction, and (ii) a protruding amount of the protruding portion in a third site is larger than that in a fourth site, to which the fourth site is located away from a center portion of the protruding portion than the third site in the fin height direction.

A water tank portion forms a first water passage around the tubes and forms a second water passage around the upstream-side gas tank portion.
