Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems are disclosed for altering displayed content on a display device responsive to a user's proximity. In accord with an example, a computing system includes a display, a sensor to output a signal, machine readable instructions, and programmable circuitry to be programmed in accordance with the instructions to intermittingly determine a distance between the compute system and a person based on the signal, and cause a size of at least one object to be presented on the display to be adjusted based on the distance.

Abstract: In one example a docking mat for an electronic device comprises a first major surface on which the electronic device may be positioned, a wireless power transmitting device, and a controller comprising logic, at least partly including hardware logic, to determine a location of the electronic device on the first major surface of the docking mat, establish a communication connection with the electronic device, receive at least one charge parameter from the electronic device, and activate the wireless power transmitting device in response to a determination that the electronic device is positioned proximate the wireless power transmitting device and the at least one charge parameter indicates that the electronic device is in a condition to receive power from the wireless power transmitting device. Abstract: A universal power adapter may be provided to provide both a wireless charging signal and a DC signal for wired charging. The universal power adapter may include an AC/DC converter device, a first power circuit, a second power circuit, and a jack to provide a wireless charging signal and a DC signal. The AC/DC converter device to provide a DC signal based on an AC signal received from an external power source. The first power circuit to receive the DC signal and to provide a wireless charging signal based on the DC signal. The second power circuit to receive the DC signal and to provide a DC signal based on the DC signal. The jack may provide both the wireless charging signal and the DC signal.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for reducing energy consumed by drones during flight are disclosed. A drone includes a housing, a motor, receiver circuitry carried by the housing, and a route manager. The receiver circuitry is to receive airborne drone-generated wind data from an airborne drone located in an area within which a segment of a flight of the drone is to occur. The airborne drone-generated wind data is to be determined by an inertial measurement unit of the airborne drone. The route manager is to generate a route for the flight of the drone based on wind data, the wind data including the airborne drone-generated wind data. The route is to be followed by the drone during the flight. The route manager is to select at least one portion of the route to cause the drone to be at least partially propelled by wind to reduce energy consumed by the drone during the flight.

A particular embodiment includes: receiving a fragrance trigger from an application, the fragrance trigger being associated with a particular fragrance that corresponds to an event, action, image, sound, or gesture depicted in the application, determining a temperature needed to cause the particular fragrance to be emitted from a fragrance cartridge; and causing a thermal element to heat the fragrance cartridge to the determined temperature.

Abstract: A computer system includes two or more subsystems. In one example, a first subsystem is executing a multimedia application using data stored in a first storage device. A copy of the data is also stored in a second storage device associated with a second subsystem. The second subsystem may be a dedicated multimedia player controller. When the first subsystem is to enter a sleep state, the second subsystem may continue to process the multimedia data stored in the second storage device. The second subsystem may also use the same audio port that the first subsystem was using before it enters the sleep state. Appropriate transition point may be determined by the second subsystem to ease audio disruption.
