摘要: An diagnostic imaging apparatus for imaging information changing with time and displaying it in real time, composed of an ultrasonic probe (2), having piezoelectric elements arranged in an array form that transmit ultrasonic waves to a target object (1) and acquires a reflection signal from the target object; a body movement measuring unit (12) that constitutes a two-dimensional ultrasonic image using the reflection signal acquired by the ultrasonic probe, sets, in the image plane, a plurality of measuring areas used for measuring the body movement of the target object, and measures the body movement and deformation amounts in the measuring areas; and an image accumulating (subtracting) unit for accumulating or subtracting images using body movement measured by the body movement measurement unit.

摘要: An ultrasound therapy apparatus delivers focused ultrasound for therapeutical purposes which can be correctly targeted to a target region, and also, a positional shift from the target region under irradiation of ultrasound can be effectively avoided. An ultrasound transducer is inside an applicator with an imaging ultrasonic probe. Another ultrasound transducer monitors a position of a target and a positional shift is inside a catheter which is inserted into a urethral tube. An imaging system drives the ultrasound probe to display an ultrasound tomographic image of a region in the vicinity of a target region. The ultrasound transducer is driven in a pulse-shaped mode at the same frequency as the imaging ultrasound and also at such timing when the imaging ultrasound is reached. As a result, a point-shaped sound source image is superimposed and displayed on an ultrasound tomographic image.

摘要: A sensitizer for tumor treatment has a structure such that a lipophilic group and a hydrophilic group are bound to one and the same carbon atom in a compound containing a xanthene dye structure. It is important that the lipophilic group and hydrophilic group are bound to one and the same carbon atom; if they are separated from each other, no sufficient effect is obtained. Thus, the sensitizer possesses both lipophilicity and hydrophilicity. This sensitizer has a function of promoting acoustic cavitation and a function of revealing an antitumor effect and is an agent highly accumulable in tumor tissues. Thus, this sensitizer is highly selective for tumor tissues and enables the treatment of malignant tumor using ultrasound.

摘要: An ultrasonic apparatus for diagnosis and therapy is provided with plural ultrasound probes for generating ultrasound waves for phase shift, diagnosis, and therapy. A first control part causes phase shift in a nano droplet ultrasound contrast agent, while a second control part detects the phase shift of the nano droplet ultrasound contrast agent using ultrasound echo detected by an echo detection device. A difference calculation device calculates a difference of the detected phase shift over time, and a positioning device determines a target position where the difference is produced. A third control part is also provided for exposing a decided target area to the ultrasound waves for therapy.

摘要: The present invention provides an ultrasonic imaging system capable of extracting structure-emphasized image data in which the structure of a tissue in a living body is emphasized and texture-emphasized image data in which a texture pattern coming from properties of a tissue in a living body is emphasized from B-mode image data, and obtaining a synthesized image obtained by weighting and combining the two extracted image data pieces. An ultrasonic imaging system has: a structure extractor for extracting structure-emphasized image data in which a structure of a tissue in the living body is emphasized from B-mode image data of the living body; a texture pattern extractor for extracting texture-emphasized image data in which a texture pattern coming from properties of a tissue in the living body is emphasized; an image synthesizer for obtaining a synthesized image by weighting and combining the structure-emphasized image data and the texture-emphasized image data; and a display for displaying at least one of the structure-emphasized image data, the texture-emphasized image data, and the synthesized image.

摘要: A method and apparatus for sterilizing water containing pathogen protozoa having shells in a simple manner without negative influencing the environment is disclosed. Ultrasonic waves are applied to drinking water to form fine cavitation bubbles which are used to destroy the shells of pathogenic protozoa. The residual chlorine in the drinking water along with an oxidizing action and effect of the ultrasonic wave, permit not only sterilization but also deodorization and decolorization.
