摘要: An extension device 5 is engaged in a connector provided on one side of a lower case 102 of a cabinet 100 of an PIP apparatus PI. An adjustable foot 6 is provided on the bottom surface 102u to adjust the extension device 5 and the cabinet 100 in height. Therefore, the cabinet 100 can be horizontally placed on a plane. When the extension device 6 is approximately equal in height to the lower case 102, the adjustable foot is retracted into the lower case 102. Therefore, the thickness of the PIP apparatus PI can be minimized.

摘要: A portable information processing apparatus is configured to dissipate heat generated in a cabinet mainly from a part which a user hardly touches, and thus the temperature at a palm rest is suppressed. The cabinet includes a heat conducting spacer 16 provided over a heat-generating component 15 to conduct heat thereof, a heat absorption area 10ah to absorb the heat of the heat-generating component 15 through the heat conducting spacer 16, and a heat conduction obstructing area 10rb provided on a heat conduction path between the heat absorption area 10ah and the palm rest 11 to reduce a cross-sectional area of the heat conduction path. Accordingly, heat conduction from the high-temperature heat generating component 15 to the palm rest 11 is restricted, and thus the temperature of the palm rest 11 can be limited.

摘要: A heat exchanger comprises a tube 11 and fin plates 12 attached to the outer surface of the tube. Each fin plate 12 is in the form of a strip sheet which is wider than the diameter of the tube 11, and each fin plate 12 is fitted on the tube 11 and has a semicylindrical recess 20 in the form corresponding to the cylindrical shape of the tube 11. Flat fins 21 extend from both sides of the semicylindrical recess 20. Cut pieces 22a are formed each by a U-shaped cut 22 at a predetermined pitch in the longitudinal direction of the semicylindrical recess 20, and each cut piece is erected outwardly of the semicylindrical recess to thereby form an upstanding fin 23, which is formed on a first fin plate element 18 as well as a second fin plate element 19. Straight tube portion 15 of the tube 11 is fitted between the semicylindrical recesses 20 of the first fin plate element 18 and the second fin plate element 19. In this way, the tube and the fin plate 12 are secured. This provides a heat exchanger for a refrigerator which has an increased radiating area and which is compact in size.

摘要: A polycrystal silicon rod characterized in that it has a half value width of a peak indicative of crystal orientation (111) of an X-ray diffraction pattern, of 0.3.degree. or less, an internal strain rate in a radial direction of less than 5.0.times.10.sup.-5 cm.sup.-1 and an internal iron concentration of 0.5 ppba or less. The above polycrystal silicon rod having high crystallinity, high purity and low internal strain is produced by heating a core material in a gaseous atmosphere comprising trichlorosilane and hydrogen to deposit silicon on the silicon core material to produce a polycrystal silicon rod, and subjecting the polycrystal silicon rod to a heat treatment without allowing it to contact with the air, to remove strain contained therein.

摘要: Herein disclosed is a method for mutual transformation between the data of a light-source color on a color CRT monitor and the light-source color. The transformation can be performed by using any of the following two formulas:R.sub.c (.lambda.)=[I.sub.c (.lambda.)/I.sub.g (.lambda.)]R.sub.G (.lambda.);and ##EQU1## wherein: Both R.sub.c (.lambda.), and X, Y and Z express the non-luminous object color data which are designated at a spectral reflectance factor and the CIE tristimulas values, respectively; andBoth I.sub.c (.lambda.), and R.sub.c, G.sub.c and B.sub.c express the light-source color data, which are designated at a spectral distribution and the RGB video drive signals, respectively.Unknown parameters R.sub.G (.lambda.) and I.sub.G (.lambda.), and K.sub.R, K.sub.G and K.sub.B, which are used in the two formulas above, are determined by visual color matching under the Color Comparison Condition in which the light-source color on the color CRT monitor and the non-luminous object color are placed side by side so that they may be simultaneously observed.
