A method for supplying and receiving, by a sink device, power using an HDMI may include being connected to a source device through the HDMI, receiving a +5 V signal, transmitting an HPD signal, transmitting EDID information including power delivery support information or power delivery request information of the sink device, receiving a first SCDC write message including required power characteristic information indicative of a first power level requested by the source device from the sink device, writing the required power characteristic information in the power delivery configuration registers of an SCDCS, writing support power characteristic information indicative of a second power level capable of being supplied by the sink device in the status flag register of the SCDCS, transmitting the written support power characteristic information to the source device, and transmitting the power of the second power level to the source device.

A method for transmitting and receiving data of a source device using HDMI (High Definition Media Interface) is disclosed. A method for transmitting and receiving data of a source device using HDMI according to the present invention comprises requesting for reading out EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) to a sink device when the sink device is connected; receiving from the sink device EDID including power delivery support information of the sink device; transmitting required power characteristic information of the source device; and receiving power according to the required power characteristic information.

A wireless communication system plays multimedia content using Bluetooth communication. The wireless communication system includes receiving a request message related to allowing streaming of second multimedia content of a second source device from the sink device by a first source device streaming first multimedia content; determining whether to allow streaming of the second multimedia content of the second source device; transmitting a response message including a determination result for whether to allow streaming of the second multimedia content to the sink device in response to the request message; transmitting a message for stopping streaming of the second multimedia content to the sink device, when the first source device allows streaming of the second multimedia content; and receiving a streaming stop response message from the sink device responsive to the streaming stop message. The request message includes one of a name, MAC address, and ID of the second source device.

A method for supplying power performed by a power provider device including a plurality of ports according to an embodiment of the present invention may include providing power to a plurality of power consumer devices through the plurality of ports which is connected to the plurality of power consumer devices through an HDMI cable; detecting a connection release between a first power consumer device among the plurality of power consumer devices and a port; detecting a second power consumer device which is provided with insufficient power currently among the plurality of power consumer devices; notifying remaining supply power levels that are available to additionally supply to the second power consumer device; receiving a request of a power level that the second power consumer device is to receive among the remaining supply power levels; and supplying the power additionally to the second power consumer device as much as the requested power level.
