    Abstract: A mobile terminal including a display; a touch sensor overlapped with the display and configured to detect a touch input; and a controller configured to detect a first tap input applied on the touch sensor in state of a deactivated display and the touch sensor being periodically driven with a second period; determine a region of the display that corresponds to the first tap input; detect a second tap input applied on the touch sensor in state of the deactivated display within a predefined time period from the first tap input; determine if the second tap input is applied within the region; if the second tap input is applied within the region and within the predefined time period from the first tap input, activate the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with a first period shorter than the second period; and if the second tap input is applied to a spot outside the region, maintain the deactivation of the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with the second period.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is to provide a wireless sound device capable of effectively receiving a command that meets a user's intention without an error despite a user input unit having a limited size, and a method for controlling the same. For example, a wireless sound device includes a wireless communication unit for wireless communication with an external device, a touch sensor for sensing a touch input of a user in a touch standby mode, a force sensor for sensing a force based on the touch input, a sound output unit for outputting an audio signal received from the external device, and a controller that controls a touch mode of the wireless sound device to be switched to a touch accepting mode or a touch ignoring mode in response to the touch input, and, when a touch validity of the touch input is positive, the controller controls the touch mode to be switched to a touch accepting mode or a touch ignoring mode based on a force validity of the touch input.

    Abstract: Provided is a pointing device in the form of a direct signal generation pen, for recognizing handwriting on any outer surface in order to solve an error of handwriting trajectory generated by the rotation of a pen, the pointing device comprising: an optical module for irradiating light on the outer surface and receiving reflected light so as to sense the frequency of the reflected light; an inertial sensor for sensing the movement, rotation, and azimuth of the pointing device; and a calculation unit for setting a reference coordinate system having handwriting direction information on the basis of a sensing value of the optical module or the inertial sensor, and recognizing first handwriting information on the basis of the set reference coordinate system.
