    Abstract: A turbo compressor is provided that may include an impeller housing having an impeller accommodation space, an inlet formed at a first side of the impeller accommodation space, and an outlet formed at a second side of the impeller accommodation space that communicates with the inlet; an impeller accommodated in the impeller accommodation space of the impeller housing, rotated together with a rotary shaft by being coupled to the rotary shaft, and configured to centrifugally-compress a fluid suctioned through the inlet of the impeller housing and discharge the compressed fluid outside of the impeller housing through the outlet; a back pressure space formed between a rear surface of the impeller and the impeller housing; a back pressure passage connected between the outlet of the impeller housing and the back pressure space; and a back pressure control valve installed between the back pressure passage and the back pressure space, and configured to selectively open and close a region therebetween.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing; a drive motor; a fixed scroll that forms a compression space by being coupled to the orbiting scroll; and a discharge cover provided at an inner space of the casing, the discharge cover having a space that communicates with the compression space and separated from the inner space of the casing, and having one or more discharge hole on a side surface thereof, the one or more discharge hole providing communication between an inside and an outside of the space. With such a configuration, vibration noise of the scroll compressor may be more reduced in comparison with a case in which an oil separator is provided outside of the casing. Further, as an area of the one or more discharge hole and a volume of the space are optimized, efficiency of the scroll compressor may be enhanced.

    Abstract: A turbo compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having a turbo compressor are provided. The turbo compressor includes a housing having a motor chamber; a drive motor having a stator and a rotor in the motor chamber of the housing; a first compression portion and a second compression portion, respectively, provided on opposite ends of a rotary shaft; a connecting passage that connects an exit of the first compression portion and an entrance of the second compression portion; an inlet passage that penetrates a first side of the housing to communicate with an inside of the motor chamber and guide a refrigeration fluid to the motor chamber; and an outlet passage that penetrates a second side of the housing to communicate with the inside of the motor chamber and guide the refrigeration fluid in the motor chamber out of the housing. Thus, a gas foil bearing provided in the motor chamber may be quickly actuated by supplying the refrigeration fluid to the motor chamber, and at a same time, heat generated from the motor chamber may be quickly dissipated even in a highspeed operation, thereby improving efficiency of the turbo compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having a turbo compressor.

    Abstract: A turbo compressor is disclosed. The turbo compressor may have an assembly-type rotational shaft where a permanent magnet is inserted into a connecting sleeve, at least one first locking projection formed on either an inner periphery of the connecting sleeve or an outer periphery of the permanent magnet facing the inner periphery of the connecting sleeve, and at least one first locking groove formed on the other. Thus, the permanent magnet constituting a rotor may be easily coupled into the rotational shaft, and the permanent may be effectively prevented from slipping. Moreover, a magnet embedded in the rotational shaft may be securely fixed so that it is held in a position where it is assembled, thus providing an advantage in concentrically aligning the magnet.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing having a sealed inner space; a drive motor provided in the inner space of the casing to generate a rotational force; a rotational shaft rotatably coupled to the drive motor; an orbiting scroll formed of an aluminum material, and coupled to the rotational shaft to perform an orbiting movement; a fixed scroll coupled to the orbiting scroll to form a compression space; and an Oldham ring coupled to the orbiting scroll, and formed of a sintered metal. With this structure, it may be possible to prevent the Oldham ring from being worn out due to contact with the orbiting scroll. Further, a weight loss portion or wear-resistant coating layer may be formed on a portion of the Oldham ring, thereby suppressing or preventing vibration noise of the scroll compressor from being increased due to a weight increase of the Oldham ring.

    Abstract: A bush bearing and a scroll compressor including a bush bearing are provided. A boss of an orbiting scroll may be inserted into and coupled to a boss coupling groove of a rotational shaft, and thus, an outer circumferential surface of a bush bearing may wholly contact an inner circumferential surface of the boss coupling groove, thereby decreasing wear of the bush bearing. Further, friction loss in the bush bearing may be reduced, and thus, compression efficiency and reliability may be enhanced, noise may be reduced, and material costs may be reduced. Furthermore, despite that the bush bearing is formed in a ring shape and press-fitted to the boss, as the bush bearing may be formed of a plastic material having an ether ketone bonding in consideration of a thermal expansion rate, an elongation, and a press-fit range, the bush bearing may be effectively prevented from being detached from the boss, thereby enhancing a reliability of a compressor.
