摘要: A dereverberation and feedback compensation system reduces the echo received by a first audio device while reducing the speech feedback received from a second audio device. A decorrelation logic decorrelates audio signals from the first audio device. A first processor generates a noise compensation signal based on the decorrelated audio signals and system determined filter coefficients. The second processor generates an enhanced noise correlation signal based on speech signals of a second audio device and the filter coefficients used by the first processor.

摘要: A system locates a speaker in a room containing a loudspeaker and a microphone array. The loudspeaker transmits a sound that is partly reflected by a speaker. The microphone array detects the reflected sound and converts the sound into a microphone signal. A processor determines the speaker's direction relative to the microphone array, the speaker's distance from the microphone array, or both, based on the characteristics of the microphone signals.

摘要: An equalization system enhances the quality of communications between a remote party and a local party. The equalization system includes an equalization filter that equalizes an acoustic signal received from the remote party. The equalized acoustic signal is transmitted to a speaker based on the equalized acoustic signal. A device converts sound into electrical signals. The electrical signals are transmitted to an echo compensation filter that compensates for reflected sound. Filter characteristics of the equalization filter are based on filter characteristics of the echo compensation filter.

摘要: A system automatically determines an equalizing filter characteristic for a communication system within a vehicle. The communication system includes a loudspeaker and a microphone or microphone array. The system transmits a predetermined test signal through the loudspeaker and receive the test signal through the microphone or microphone array. Based on the predetermined test signal and the received test signal, a transfer function is developed. The equalizing filter characteristic is then developed from the transfer function.

摘要: A system for limiting a received audio signal in a communication system is provided. The receive audio signal is limited prior to being played over a loudspeaker to insure that the loudspeaker output will not be clipped when picked up by a nearby microphone associated with the communication system. By preventing clipping of the loudspeaker output at the microphone, the transfer function of the loudspeaker-enclosure-microphone system remains linear, facilitating accurate echo cancellation in the communication system.
