摘要: A process for stably and efficiently producing quality glass articles such as preforms at high yields, and a process for producing an optical device from the preform obtained by the above process. In the process for producing a glass article, molten glass gobs having a predetermined weight each are poured, or molten glass drops having a predetermined weight each are dropped through a nozzle, into a boiling liquid having a boiling point lower than the class transition temperature of the glass constituting said glass article or a liquid which is temperature-adjusted beforehand so as to be caused to boil by the amount of heat of the glass, to form glass articles.

摘要: There is provided a hot-dip Al—Zn coated steel sheet that has a steel sheet containing Si and Mn as a base steel sheet and has excellent coating appearance and corrosion resistance. The Al—Zn coating layer has an Al content in the range of 20% to 95% by mass. The Al—Zn coating layer has a Ca content in the range of 0.01% to 10% by mass. Alternatively, the Ca and Mg content is in the range of 0.01% to 10% by mass. A steel sheet surface layer within 100 μm from a surface of the base steel sheet directly under the Al—Zn coating layer contains 0.06 to 1.0 g/m2 per surface of an oxide of at least one selected from Fe, Si, Mn, Al, P, B, Nb, Ti, Cr, Mo, Cu, and Ni in total.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a developer container, a first calculator, and a second calculator. The first calculator calculates an amount of the developer supplied to the image bearing member from the developer container, on the basis of an amount of the developer measured by a measuring device after an image forming operation, and an amount of the developer initially contained in the developer container. A controller outputs an information signal relating to the developer amount accumulated in the collection container on the basis of the amount of the developer calculated by the first calculator and the amount of the developer calculated by the second calculator.

摘要: The present invention has an object of providing a liquid crystal display device having a high transmittance or a high viewing angle characteristic. A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention includes a pixel electrode (30) including a peripheral portion (36), an island portion (32) and a plurality of branch portions (34). The plurality of branch portions (34) are formed of a plurality of first through fourth branch portions (34A through 34D) respectively extending in first through fourth directions. By these branch portions, first through fourth regions (35A through 35D) in which liquid crystal molecules are aligned in different directions from each other at the time of voltage application are formed. The island portion (32) is surrounded by the first through fourth regions (35A through 35D), and is connected to the peripheral portion (36) by a connection portion (38) but not by any of the plurality of branch portions (34) or connected to the peripheral portion (36) by one of the first through fourth branch portions (34A through 34D).

摘要: A gaming machine executes a process with new entertainability. The game executes a normal game accepting an input of selecting any of the plurality of the specific symbols stop-displayed, in response to a fact that a plurality of the specific symbols are stop-displayed, in the normal game executed. A benefit is awarded according to the specific symbols selected. Whether or not to generate a specific game state is determined, in response to the specific symbols selected. An input of selecting a specific symbol other than the specific symbol previously selected is accepted from among the plurality of specific symbols stop-displayed, in response to a fact that it is determined that the specific game state has been generated. A benefit is awarded according to the specific symbol selected in the last processing.
