A multimedia device for effectively managing power consumption thereof based on a handle that is used when moving the multimedia device is provided. The multimedia device includes a display, a handle attached to the multimedia device, a sensor for sensing the state of the handle, a power supplier, and a controller configured to block power being supplied to the display, when a sensing value of the sensor indicates a state in which the handle is used.

An electronic apparatus includes a first communicator configured to perform communication with a remote control device, which is configured to remotely control the electronic apparatus, the first communicator having an activated state in a standby state of the electronic apparatus; a second communicator configured to perform communication with an Internet of things (IoT) server, the second communicator having an inactivated state in the standby state of the electronic apparatus; and a processor configured to, in response to receiving a sensing result signal, including a sensing result sensed by at least one sensing device, from the remote control device, activate the second communicator to transmit the sensing result received from the remote control device to the IoT server.

A display apparatus, a controlling method thereof, and a display system are provided. The display apparatus includes a power supply unit and a processor configured to, in response to AC power being applied through the power supply unit, search a connectable control device, determine a pairing history regarding the searched control device, in response to determining that there is no pairing history regarding the searched control device, boot the display apparatus, and perform pairing with the searched control device.

The electronic device includes: a first board that time-divides each of a plurality of parallel data and generates a plurality of packets corresponding to each time period based on levels of each of the plurality of parallel data included in each time period in order to convert the plurality of parallel data into serial data; and a second board that determines levels of each of the plurality of parallel data in each time period to convert the serial data into the plurality of parallel data when the serial data are received from the first board, in which the first board may convert the data into a first signal or a second signal based on the levels of the data included in each time period in order to generate the packets.

The display apparatus includes a communicator configured to perform communication with the remote controller with a touch panel, a display configured to include a plurality of divided screens, and a controller configured to control a screen which corresponds to a divided area where the user command is input from among the plurality of divided screens according to the received signal in response to a signal which corresponds to a user command being input through the touch panel including a plurality of divided areas to correspond to each of the plurality of divided screens being received from the remote controller. Thus, user convenience can be improved.
