    摘要: A two path flow, laminated-type heat exchanger for an automotive refrigerant circuit includes a plurality of heat transfer tubes, a plurality of fins, and a tank. The tank is divided into three chambers. The second and third chambers are in fluid communication with the heat transfer tubes, each of which tubes has an interior U-shaped flow path. A plurality of holes of different radii or one diamond-shaped hole or a wall dividing the first chamber into two sub-chambers may be provided between the first chamber and the second chamber. The fluid enters through an inlet orifice and flows into the first chamber. Imbalances in the fluid's mass-flow rate along the length of the tank are leveled as the fluid passes from the first chamber to the second chamber. The fluid now possessing a leveled mass-flow rate enters the heat transfer tubes. Thus, the fluid in every heat transfer tube is leveled. The fluid flowing within each of heat transfer tubes then is collected in the third chamber, and exits through the outlet orifice. Therefore, the surface temperature of the heat exchanger is balanced during operation.

Drawn projecting portions for forming fluid paths from the side tank to the header tanks, and protruding portions for forming the fluid introduction/discharge paths in the side tank, may be formed without generation of cracks or too thin portions when the side tank forming. plates are processed.     摘要: A multi-flow type heat exchanger includes a pair of headers and a plurality of heat transfer tubes interconnecting the headers. The flow direction of the heat exchange medium through the whole of the heat transfer tubes is only one direction. A flow division parameter &ggr; is defined as a ratio of a resistance parameter &bgr; of the heat transfer tubes to a resistance parameter &agr; of an entrance side header and is set to at least about 0.5. The flow division parameter is calculated, such that &ggr;=&bgr;/&agr;, where &bgr;=Lt/(Dt·n), and &agr;=Lh/Dh. The equation variables are defined as follows: Lt equals a length of each tube, Dt equals a hydraulic diameter of one tube, n equals a number of tubes, Lh equals a length of an entrance side header, and Dh equals a hydraulic diameter of the header. The flow division from the header to the tubes may be chosen at an optimum condition, and the heat exchanger may have superior performance.

    摘要: A heat exchanger comprising header pipes, flat tubes extending between the header pipes and fin units extending between the flat tubes is disclosed. The header pipes include a plurality of holes on one side thereof for accepting the flat tubes. On the opposite side of the header pipes is at least one slit in which a partition plate is inserted. During the formation of the header pipe, a pair of projections are formed on the ends of the slit. After the partition plate is inserted into the header pipe, the projections are bent until they engage the partition plate thereby fixedly securing the partition plate within the header pipe.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a fin for a heat exchanger includes the steps of forming an intermediate pre-formed plate, which has adjacent zigzag strips, by passing a flat plate material between a pair of first processing rollers, and forming a fin by passing the intermediate pre-formed plate between a pair of second processing rollers to bend the zigzag strips at a portion connecting adjacent zigzag strips. The fin includes a plurality of waving strips arranged adjacent to each other in the transverse direction, which are offset in the longitudinal direction. The adjacent waving strips are connected only between the flat portions of the waving strips at a connection length less than or equal to a plate thickness. The fin may be manufactured readily and inexpensively. A heat exchanger using the fin as an inner or outer fin may exhibit superior performance.

    摘要: A heat exchanger, such as a condenser, for use in a automobile air conditioning system includes a plurality of flat tubes for conducting the refrigerant and a plurality of corrugated outer fins fixedly sandwiched between the flat tubes. First and second header pipes are fixedly and hermetically connected to the flat tubes and, thereby, communicate with the interior of the tubes. A plurality of diagonally arranged projected stripes are formed on inner surfaces of the flat tubes. First portions of the projected stripes project from a lower inner surface of the flat tubes, and second portions of the projected stripes project from an upper inner surface of the flat tubes. The first and second portions of the projected stripes are in contact with one another at the points of intersection therebetween. Thereby, refrigerant flows through the flat tubes in a turbulent flow condition, so that the heat exchanging performance of the condenser increases while maintaining the internal pressure resistance strength of the tubes.
